I mean, our office has casual Fridays and sometimes the men wear a polo shirt, khakis and sneakers. That is fine. I am currently wear a polo, cute pink/white seersucker bermuda shorts and flipflops - all of which are allowed. But shorts with wingtips and a tie? WTF? Edited by wurkit_gurl 2008-08-01 10:01 AM |

Not at all, not in the least. Nor do I. I would NEVER wear anything like that. While we disagree on what's fashionable, I think we can agree on what's considered professional dress, and that most office settings call for it. It doesn't help that the models are total dweebs. What's with the guy in the gray suit? Can you say Pee Wee?
But, I'd love to wear shorts to work in the summer. Just not cute pink/white seersucker bermuda ones. Edited by mrbbrad 2008-08-01 10:07 AM |

Until a few years ago, all the men here were required to wear ties. No open-toed shoes for the women. Now, it's looser (no ties, and women wear open-toed shoes), but we're still tighter than many others. Even on our casual days (maybe once a month), no sneakers, and the men still have to wear shirts with buttons (polos or whatever). |

HTFU! What is it with chicks and sweaters in the summer? Drives me crazy! I have NEVER taken a sweater or sweatshirt to the movies or restaurant "in case I get chilly" |

I would say this is NOT acceptable attire for the office. Or for the evening. Or for digging graves in the middle of the night when nobody but the dead bodies are there to look at your attire. Seriously I said `What the F*CK!' out loud when I opened that, then proceeded to send it to all of my colleagues who also exclaimed ``WTF!?'' aloud when opening. |

Note that K = 1 when a reasonable ram weight is used in proportion to the weight of pile driven. The value of "K" may never exceed 1 in the equation. The factor "K" comes into play only for heavy piles. The inspector should note that the EN formula is given in several forms in the Standard Specifications. One form is for the single acting hammer, one for the double acting and also for diesel hammers when E is discounted. Though sometimes overlooked, the specifications say "The formula will be used as a guide to determine the safe bearing value of piles when static load tests are not required." Formulas were developed to estimate dynamic resistance of a pile by average "penetration" of a pile under the last few blows of the hammer.bcart1991 - 2008-08-01 10:05 AM Ding ding ding... airplanes! 4 of the pages are nothing but formulas. Even on our casual days (maybe once a month), no sneakers, and the men still have to wear shirts with buttons (polos or whatever). We have casual Friday every week (unless you are meeting with clients, but even then, some of the architects don't put on a suit), and our dress code specifically says that sneakers and flip flops are allowed. It's a pretty casual environment in general - a lot of the designers wear jeans during the week. I won't, but I will wear my denim skirt on days that are not Friday - I'm such a rebel |
