I generally see gray squirrels-really puffed tails-in the city. In the woods I see brown squirrels-not so puffed tails.

Sounds like the problems I have when the cats sit on my computer.

Jen - did you see the new project I found for you?

it's a present for Kristen

It's very cute.  I wonder when Kristen's birthday is...

hmmm, trying to remember - I think it was during the summer, July maybe?

You guys are so nice to me. I can really feel the love.

The drain - very scary.

Squirrels - yep, check - scary.

The crocheted squirrel --- well, that was actually cute, not so scary.

Good morning Nibbs!

I am so far behind, I don't think I'll ever catch up on what's going on with everyone. I'm lacing my shoes with my new orthotics in them. Gonna give it a test run at 9am. I am hoping for a miracle. Will post an update after my run. I can't remember the last time I've been this excited about running

Morning!

Pam, I hope the orthotics make a big difference for you.

I heart my pool piglet.  He's awesome--even when I know he's going to kick my tail the next few months!

Hi Judi!

It reopened Tuesday, right after I left from the spin class (which I won't take again...too much out of the saddle work for me).  I swam Tuesday night, water was clear.  Today, the water was cloudy again....BUT it was open and I was happy.

I vote yes - only if I can take one at my desk before I teach at 10. And I didn't even get up to run!

That's the beauty of teaching.  You can close your door and no one needs to know...

Unfortunately, I should actually get to work soon so I can figure out why I didn't get paid.

Good morning Nibbs.

No water here at work.  They are moving our water meter.  Can we say yeah for public bathrooms without water.  Do you think anyone reads the signs that say no water.  Nope!  Ugh!

I wish.  I get tomorrow off, then 18 miles on Saturday, then I'm off 2 days before it starts up again next week.

My legs are very confused about the new dedication to running.

I'm back! It was an ok run. I could definitely feel a difference when I'm running down hill. I'm still pooped after the tempo portion of the run. My right hip feels a little odd, but I am ultra-paranoid. I did all my usual stretches. I guess my body will have to adjust to this new position. Good news is no blisters or rubs and it was a 6 miler

Yes.  I'm getting scared of being able to do it and run fast enough.  I start around 8:30 and have to make it 19 miles by 1:45.  Should be doable as long as nothing goes wrong.  I'm just getting nervous about everything...long runs, what I'm going to wear, do I take my fuel belt.

It's definitely harder than I thought.  I'm hoping it's easier the next time should I decide I want to do another one because I'll have a better base.

Haha... I was freaking out soooo bad before I "ran" my first (and only).  The training even almost had me depressed because of how slow I was going and how sore I was.  The farthest training run I got in was 18 miles, so I definitely didn't see how I could go another 8.

Turns out, that race day was the most fun I've ever had at an event.  I still think about it just about every single day.

What are the stops like for this one?  I haven't seen one that didn't have plenty of fluid and food, so a fuel belt might just be extra junk to carry around.
