disturbed275 - 2009-04-20 6:36 AM Good Morning everyone else!

'Morning all! I can't believe it's already the 21st of April. What happened?

I ended up skipping my run yesterday. The cold that has been lurking in the back of my throat decided to demand more of my attention. I didn't really feel sick, just headachy and lethargic. But that means I really need to run every day this week to meet my goal. Gulp.

I feel a bit more normal today, so I should be able to run, at least a short one, this evening. And, usually, as long as it's a head cold (the neck or above), running is usually fine if not a temporary relief from some of the congestion (which is only in my throat, so it's kind of weird).

Funny how almost an entire month can get away from you.

Bummer about the cold.  Doesn't it know you have training to do?  I sure hope it goes away quick!

When I get back I want to watch the Boston Marathon on the web live (Universal Sports), my brother and some friends are running.

Yesterday they had the inaugural Boston 5K as part of all the festivities, a huge race with competitors from all over the world, and get this, my 14 year old niece, Ashley, wins her age group at 22.21. Gosh, youth! She was pretty excited as Boston's Mayor was giving out the medals!

I think it is so great to see kids getting involved, at the Bi I did this weekend, there were a bunch of kid competitors, they are fun to watch!

That would be cool if you got a glimpse of them. To run the Boston at 14 is amazing!

Today I am intending to finish out my challenge. Tomorrow is surgery day and I am not sure that I will make many more runs this month. I was hoping for 50 miles this month but will settle for 40. Slowly, slowly I am building up.

Morning all!

I was supposed to swim this morning but I've been having major sinus issues since right after my race on Saturday and I'm feeling headachy and body achy. I did some stretching and yoga instead. Hopefully I'll be up for a swim or run tomorrow. I'm still on track to make my running goal.

I just found the official results for Saturday's 5K:

5/46 AG (includes walkers); 37 seconds off the podium (since the top in my AG was the top F finisher so doesn't count here)
23/178 F (includes walkers)
110/360 OA M+F

Definitely my best running race ever!
