I hope to get a quick ride in on my sprint this weekend. BUt wouldnt bank on anything better than 35 minutes.

I'll take your 35 and never look back...I don't even dream that fast!

Ok, back from meeting, pretty cool how close the numbers are.

Also some teams like Numero Uno only had one ride, now two so the numbers will fluctuate quite a bit I think.

Oh and for current averages I copied the data from the online spreadsheet and put it into an excel file.  The online ones are very sensitive.

yeah they are!  I figured you had a b/u, glad to hear it.  sucks not being able to blame my interns for this...

No, no backup other than getting the workouts out of peoples logs, I just copied to Excel because any change you make to the online sheet is automatically saved.

Warning - I am getting technically savy - no, not really.  But I did just upload a few pictures of Ashley's dress rehersal for her upcoming ballet recital.  She is our youngest ... but our first girl ... we are learning alot about the "girl activities".

I laughed a lot about the soccer post, I can so relate.  We currently have all three kids in soccer (and my husband coaches a team), all three kids in swim team, and then a few other individual things.  I can't wait for this soccer season to end.....

oh.  i was thinking you were saving those xls.   hmmm.  having to go back to the logs can potentially be a lot of work. maybe we should go Reub's route w/ the xls when the Deuce rolls again next time around.  no b/u is...well not good.  just a thought.

I'll pick up my slack this weekend, the 31st is my first outdoor tri of the year.  I'm excited and should put forth some good times.  I'll keep you posted.

Otherwise, it's been busy at my home the past few days with some training and work things that have left me exhausted.  So I'm several pages behind here.

Did we already start a list of those racing over the weekend?

THOSE ARE AWESOME!  Relate here as well.  Swim lessons, t-ball, coaching t-ball, soccer (lmao at Reub's "as long as they don't mention it" comment), yada yada....

So do you judge by the number of posts or by the online sign? Either way, yup I can tell.   I sent Tony a PM the other day about my post count on here.  Then I looked at his and I ain't even his neighborhood!

Yeah I have a job where I sit in front of a PC all day and wait for people to get back to me via e-mail or phone so lots of free time to post.  Before this project I was busy 15 hours a day, funny how you always go from one extreme to another never that happy medium.

Crap see...I'm not that smart. I did not recognize sarcasm when I saw it.
It reminds of the movie "The Mighty Ducks"...one of the kids is talking and says " Do you even know what sarcasm means?" And the other kids answers smartly., "NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Get fired up and run it in sub 30. You know you can!!

Don't worry Trevor we never accused you of being smart

Congrats on the new house Sarah...very cool!    And two trips, where did you go?!

The group is doing a virtual sprint.  We split into 4 teams and we each had a few weeks to complete 400/12/3.1.   The Deuce (Team2) is kicking everyone's a$$ with no help from me.  Tony created some cool spreadsheets that we have all been logging are time's in.  It ends Monday...can you get all three in by then.  If so we can get you on a team I would think.   If not, don't worry, I think we'll be doing another one soon.

Good luck w/ your 10k on Sunday!

Grr, my wetsuit from wetsuitrental.com just got here.  I told them in e-mail multiple times I was interested in renting a 2 piece Desoto wetsuit, they said fine.

Just opened the box, some sort of Synergy wetsuit...

Takes a week or so for them to get here so not like I can ship it back and get a new one in time to practice with it and use it for Mooseman....

Hi all,

Thanks for the encouragement on my run!  I think a big difference is that I am not very good at pacing.  I never know how fast to run.  Usually, during my races (5ks),  I would have some energy left at the end.  This time, I tried to go faster during the entire race.  I still don't know how to pace myself though.  Any suggestions??
Also, I had a really weird swim this morning.  I did my half mile, then paused for a minute and adjusted my goggles and cap.  When I started to swim again, I felt really dizzy.  I swam 4 laps and thought, I have to get out of the pool NOW!!  I ran to the bathroom and hugged the toilet for a while.  Let's just say that it was a good thing that I hadn't eaten anything yet.  I feel better now, I think.  I have had vertigo in the past and don't know if that was the problem, or something else.  Anybody ever get dizzy when swimming?  Do you think it is something I should be worried about?
I will turn in my swim time from this morning, but it may hurt Team won!!

Karen

Hmm, now I am debating about this Synergy suit they sent.  It is their top of the line suit that retails for 549.  Read some reviews both here and on ST and everyone really likes the suit.  They had a guy review suits there late last year and he said this was one of his favorites, extremely flexible in the shoulders more than any other brand.  And said it worked very well for broad shouldered people which is one of my problems with other suits, they seem to be designed for the stick people.

might be heading to the pool in the AM with it to try it out.
