PennState - 2010-03-21 10:00 AM Felt DA is very nice.

GPS also rides the DA.

Shhhh!    I might be selling it.  I have a potential buyer if it's the right size.   This is the one I want.  http://www.quintanarootri.com/_bike.asp?content=Dulce

Much more my style.

Jorge rides the DA as well.

are you insane?!?!

is it that much of a step down in bike quality or something else?  i told the potential buyer i wasn't sure yet.  but man do i love that pink one.

Yeah, a Felt DA is a much more high end frame than the QR Dulce.

Great.  Now you guys are making me reconsider.  Dang i want a pink bike.  And painting it pink is stupid b/c it drastically limits the resale population.  Would look much better with the dress and compression socks I plan to rock for my sub-12 debut.    oh wait, i think i'd actually have to train for that, so forget that.

If you still like riding the DA, why not have a graphics place do up vinyl decals to cover some/all of the Felt graphics with a different (pink) design.  Super thin so it's less like a sticker.  The possibilities would be endless and you can have them do up the wheels while you're at it.  When you want to sell, pull them off and you're back to stock.

He did the decals for my Hed wheels.  Fast (work and as a triathlete) and a pleasure to deal with.  Lots of guys over on the "other" site have used him with good results.

Shoot him an email with what you have in mind.  He'll know if it can be done well and work on what you had in mind designwise.

Tire question for the group. I am using the Tufo S3 Lites. I know nothing about tires other than these came recommended. The tires on my wheels now are 700x21. I need to order 2 spares for the season and I found a great sale online for $54 each. They don't have 21mm in stock and only have the 19mm. Is this a big deal really? I am sure there is some 5 page article somewhere debating tire size and wind resistance and rolling resistance. I am thinking it is not and especially since I am hoping these to be my spares (unless I have a flat prior to LP). Again, don't know anything about tires but kind of think I am making something out of nothing here. Thoughts? The wheelset is Blackwell 100mm tubular both front and back if that matters. Thanks!

Yes I'm doing New Orleans 70.3 on 18 April.

It will actually be my first 70.3 (even though I've done IM before)

I have a half marathon this Sunday, another half marathon May 2nd, a HIM (Harryman) May 22nd, REV3 HIM June 5th, and a few sprint Triathlons sprinkled in.  The last three weeks in June will be all about Build Period.  Both my HIM's have wicked hills which will be race-specific LP training.

Ryan (yeats) and I are doing the American Triple-T in Ohio in late May. It's 4 races spread out over 3 days: super short sprint day 1; olympic in AM of Day 2; run-swim-bike olymipc distance in the evening of day 2; then a HIM on day 3. Should be great training for IM!! And we get to race as a team, instead of against each other

You guys and all your warm up races are making me jealous.

There's another drawback to living on this tiny island...there are virtually no triathlons between now and July.  Per year on this island there are only about 5, and those are all super sprints or sprints.  The one big one is called the Izenna 88 and it gets cancelled frequently with no refunds.  Everything else is a plane ride away.

yup that's difficult... I'm sure you will still do well though. Probably hard not to have access to a local tri community too? maybe you have one in Japan?

There's a bit of a tri community but most of the guys and gals on this island are military so they deploy and relocate often.   Mostly they do a lot of talking online and meet up at the few races on island.
