I asked the (dumb) two-piece swimsuit questions.

Anyone have experience with more of a tri bra top?

I am not a huge fan of traditional trip tops and I think I may melt in one in WI summer. In Seattle I just had tri shorts and a sports bra under the wetsuit then threw on a regular tank top after the swim. I wasn't concerned with transition time but it was notably difficult to get on while I was wet.

I guess I could skip a "tri-bra" altogether and just do a regular sports bra ... I'm thinking "aloud" chime in if you have advice.

No reason that you can't do the tri-bra thing.

I have a singlet that is kind of like a tank top that would work if you wanted to go that route.  I'll tell you right now that while I love the cut, I don't love the fabric as much. I use it a lot for indoor bricks in the winter (can shove my nano in the pocket).

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/orca-race-tri-singlet-for-women~p~5911k/?filterString=s~ocra%2F&colorFamily=03

Ohh, so ... is it more made to get wet then? Like tri top material?

Is a tri-bra gonna cause cleavage-drag vs a zipped up tri top? Does it matter? Cleavage-drag, that IS a serious question even.

I've had some horrible bra cleavage drag. Best to try it out first.

Never mind a zip-up tri top. Get a tight shortie like all the fast girls wear:

That looks like the perfect equation for muffin top to me ...

You don't have muffin top, you silly wench.

Even I don't have muffin top and I'm pretty muffiny.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure with one of the new SOAS or De Soto tri tops in W singlet, they have a longer cut if you REALLY BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE INVISIBLE MUFFIN TOP, you wouldn't need to wear a sports bra with them.

I don't make anything easy, do I?

Duuuuuuude, the chick on your DL mighta had a muffin top.  You would not.

Anyone else?

Sorry, what's the challenge?

Here's the official JoGo description:  "the challenge is 30 days of 30+ minutes of anything that is mindfully active.  What do I mean by that?  It means that walking to the mailbox, like you do every day, does not count.  It has to be something that is off the couch (you can do something like yoga or walking even on a rest day) EVERY DAY!!!"

Oh, sure, I'm in!

I will put up an official challenge list later.  It looks like some people may want the 30 days of 30+ minutes but also would like accountability for other things too for those 30 days.   I started smoothies today so I would like 30 days of 30+ minutes plus 30 days of smoothies.  I will start this as of today, seeing there are some already posting their achievements.  Let's all get out there and get our jogo on!!!

Jogo Challenge:

Chris-started 5/22 and continuing until 6/27 S/B/R and lose 8lbs

TJ-started 5/22

Jayne

Melanie

Kate-starting 5/27

Stacey-30 min activity + no chocolate, starting 5/26

Darren-started 5/22

Felicia

Salty

Joanne-30 min activity, starting 5/23 + no wine, starting 5/27

Jo

Judi

Kirsten

If anyone else wants in, let me know. Please post here or in your log when you get your "jogo" on. I will try to summarize weekly.

Let's do this!

Edited and fixed. Take that ipad!!!

Adding bcraht and QueenZipp!

It's been a pretty emotional few days, especially after my grandma last month, but she's going to be okay

wow scary time. Healing wishes and thoughts.

x2. So scary when it's someone close and they're far away.

Other than the fact that Stanford Medical School very nearly lost its accreditation a few years ago, Stanford University Hospital remains an outstanding institution. I was born there. I have been treated there, as has every member of my immediate family and those of my brother's. I have performed surgery there.

For the most part, really good peeps. I'm glad that's where she went.

Okay, I'm in too ... but in a kind of funny way ... I need at least 30min a day of doing something that is not-doing, like reflection/meditation or yoga or something like that. Utterly critical for my well-being (and for those who read my blog, you'll know also to those around me!)

Starting today. And yes I did.

Aaand I'm off like a prom dress again. Less than 48-hour pitstop at the Funny Farm; back to Jakarta again now. There is a hell of a storm going on outside; did the Aussies send us another cyclone?

Yanti-You are added.  This is a 30 in 30 challenge.  It doesn't matter if it is physical activity or mental. It is yours to make it whatever you want!  Just know that we will be there to support you into your enlightenment.  Wink

Renee-I have no idea what lifting a g&t is so YES, why not?  I am sure that you can do something, even walking for 30 minutes per day, that is above and beyond what you would normally do.

g&t = Gin and Tonic, I think. I'm not sure how that equates to the ever popular Friday evening 12 oz curls, but I pace myself for a couple of hours when I do those

I have a Strava question or two for those that use it. How do I go about setting up segments? I have a couple of spots that I ride often that I may use to measure myself with. Do I need the Premium Membership to set them up? And will Strava pick them up as part of a longer ride, and break it out automatically, or do I need to do something to get it in there. I am using the app on my smartphone.

Also, an observation. There is a segment that I ride with group on occasion that is pretty popular in the area. So I looked for it and found that the KOM is Jesse Friggin' Thomas, pro triathlete! Yeah, mark that one off the list of possibles.

Originally posted by rrrunnerErin, glad you're mom is better. Will be praying. Yanti, continued prayers, as usual ;-)Got my JoGo on. Hour and a half hike with DH this AM. This afternoon we went out to a great MTB range in Gunnison that had everything from easy to crazy-stupid-downhill stuff. I got to play on the equivalent of MTB bunny hills while DH could play on more technical stuff in the same area. It was pretty cool. I lowered my saddle and loosened my clips. Still crashed a couple times but it was when I was getting more daring :-D
LOVE THE PICS! Gorgeous way to spend the day. Wow.

One FURIOUS MANATEE reporting in today.

I have been in contact with the LBS again...yes, the frame on order is MY frame.....it is STILL another 6-8 weeks out.  WTF??? I was told that over a month ago!  I will be calling Blue directly to verify this.  The LBS offered me a discount on anything he had in stock but that would negate any honoring of the credit I currently have with Blue.

So not sure who to be angry with ....the poor communication from LBS or the LACK of customer support from Blue or BOTH.

I can't see a way of doing it on the phone app Chris. There is a way on the computer that is easy enough. Perhaps Ben may know. He seems to have been using it a while now. Sorry, no help really.

In other news, got my JOGO for the day done. By all, off to work

Ouch, I feel your pain. We're going through the same thing with a couch. I'm glad I'm not going through this over a bike frame like you are.  You've had a couple of aggravating days here lately, haven't you? I hope that your phone call helps iron everything out and gets you moving in the right direction.
