Only a few days left - let's keep it up!!!
A couple of questions for the team...
I am running a 5k on Nov 14th, this will be my first, any advice?
Second - I ran a little over 5.5 miles on Sunday, I felt good, no problems. I noticed last night I have a VERY large bruised area on one of my thighs. Could this have come from running? Is it something I should be concerned about? I can't really think of anything else I would have done that would have caused it. Have a great day everyone. I have a 4 mile run planned for this evening. Morning Ann! 5K advice - Start out slower than you want to so that you don't cook yourself right off the bat and then kick it like never before after you pass 3 mile point. Finally have a great time and enjoy it. No help on the bruise but my mind wandered to being on top Have a great day! I'll echo Bill's advice. I've only done a couple of stand alone 5k's and I think every time I have gone out too fast and struggled that last mile. Try saving a little something and kick it in at the end. *savin a little somethin somethin toppage* Edited by disturbed275 2009-10-27 6:41 AM
