Subject: RE: TAN #53 World Champion TANjdwright56 - 2008-10-15 10:16 AM OK TAN - I want to do something special for my donor's family tomorrow (2nd anniversary of her death). What should I do? There are a couple of Grandparents and her Mom and an Aunt that she was really close to. Sheesh, that's a tough one to relate to. I don't think halmark has a card for that. But these are my thoughts: It may feel a little self centered to talk about yourself, but I would show them things you have done. Triathlon, your work with other people dealing with it, family, etc. If I were the family of a donor, I would would really be happy to see that someone is making the most of the gift. I would want to see that they are doing great things and not just sitting around using an organ to stay alive to watch more TV or sit around. I would like to see photos, articles, video of what they achieved, things they wouldn't have done wihtout the donation. That would be far better than a bottle of wine or some other gift... But that's just me. |
