You just hate the Half-Asian-But-Only-From-The-Waist-Up man. I believe you embracing yourself for self fulfillment is considered a sin. First rule of being a theologian is to never answer an yes/no question. depends on what you mean by self, fulfillment and of course, sin. short answer: if one seeks to serve one's own interest, particularly at the expense of others, it is most likely to result in broken relationships, the definition of sin. If one goes against the self's inclinations, and seeks to serve the other, then that is seeking the building up of relationships, hence working against sin. It could be more theological, but I think it is the most general analysis since it is mainly an argument from natural law, not specific to a particularly Christian outlook... although it does carry some assumptions with it in regard to the self/world being in a state of disrepair/brokenness that are inherent to a Christian outlook. And of course I would argue that it is completely possible having been formed in the proper school of virtue to learn to seek the other's good, rather than one's own so that one could speak of an old self and a new self... how's that? Oh my... whether it's math or theology... I AM a nerrrrrrrd. -B So if PGCG has to "take care of business" because I don't put out, (Hypothetically speaking...we all know I put out.) am I causing him to sin? |

As I read it, you are sinning, because you are causing harm to the relationship. Sinner!!!! |

His early withdrawal was intended so that he did not give a child to his dead brother's wife. He therefore left her without any help in her old age. One of the dudes spilled his seed... and that was a sin. -B |

Arch-Bishop of BT![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() elektra - 2008-05-29 4:30 PM So if PGCG has to "take care of business" because I don't put out, (Hypothetically speaking...we all know I put out.) am I causing him to sin? ummm again.. it depends. Is he seeking your "output" for his own fulfillment... or the mutual upbuilding of your marriage? If the former... no since he is not making proper use of the gift of sex. If the latter... maybe, but only if you are not putting out to seek your own interest. You might turn him down because you are seeking, say, the interests of your children... and we just have to make choices since we can't serve everybody... -B |
