I slept 9 hours last night.

That's like forever.

On deck for today - taking the Monkeys to a "trick or treat street" thing at my job, then home for the long run...looking forward to the run, hoping my cold doesn't interfere.

I do have ADHD (tested and diagnosed and a dang expensive test it was too) I'm not on meds now but I'm considering changing that soon.  Had the PERFECT ADD job for 30 years...I was a firefighter.  It was perfect.

Something new every day...check

Risk taking behavior...check

No long term concentration requirements...check

Above average hand/eye coordination required...check

The ability to not dwell on the immediate (i.e. hurt child etc.)...check

It was perfect.  I have studied this quite a bit and the thought process that this began with the Hunter-v-Gatherer dynamic from 1000's of years ago is really quite fasinating...oh look there is a kitty

Yep, typical shift in h3ll.  Sometimes I do miss it, not enough to go back though

Glad I didn't watch the game today.  We ran some errands, picked up two more Christmas presents.  Then went to the shooting range and shot a shotgun and pistol.  Shotguns are interesting.  Not so good with them yet.

Now I get to do fun things like pay bills and clean.

Good swim.... awful T1.... Great ride... bad T2.... Very painful run for the first half and then I seemed to settle into a walk, stumble thing that kind of worked..

But most importantly.. I FINISHED... and Im going to sleep with the medal under my pillow tonight!

Let's see... in no particular order and understanding I only read this page...

1.  Congrats again, Cat! 
2.  I don't have ADD or ADHD... but I enjoy the money I make teaching kids survival strategies for it!
3.  Ohhhh... firing guns at a range... me likey.  I've only done it once, though.  They have Ladies Night at a range here.  I think I might have to get a bunch of girls together.  Just imagine the material I'd have after that GNO.
4.  Fear the Turtle.
5.  Judi, I miss your stories from the ER.  Maybe you could do a couple shifts each month just for my amusement???  No?
