Subject: RE: Nibbs XXVIReno8 - 2008-10-17 9:51 PM I do have ADHD (tested and diagnosed and a dang expensive test it was too) I'm not on meds now but I'm considering changing that soon. Had the PERFECT ADD job for 30 years...I was a firefighter. It was perfect. Something new every day...check Risk taking behavior...check No long term concentration requirements...check Above average hand/eye coordination required...check The ability to not dwell on the immediate (i.e. hurt child etc.)...check It was perfect. I have studied this quite a bit and the thought process that this began with the Hunter-v-Gatherer dynamic from 1000's of years ago is really quite fasinating...oh look there is a kitty Hope everyone has a great weekend...night all Steve Ha, maybe that's why I handled being an ER RN for 15 years.... code room 21 ...done acute MI room 17...okay off to the cath lab intubation of intractable seizures room 10...done psychotic breakdown room 4.... Yep, typical shift in h3ll. Sometimes I do miss it, not enough to go back though |
