Rest day for me today. Hope to do a run tomorrow morning, if it's raining I will go the gym. In the evening I hope to do an OWS. I'll do it rain or shin, just no lightning please!

Got a nice little 3 mi run in this morning with a bit of speed work mixed in, just before dawn, I love that time of the day! Still hoping to get in an OWS this evening with my friend and fellow BT'er James (microspawn), really looking forward to it.

My plan for the rest of the week is simple, a short ride or run Thursday, then on Friday I drop the dogs at the kennel and head up to the race site, do my check in and check out the bike course. The swim course will be open for and hour at 5:30PM so I will take advantage of that to swim the course. I am staying with some friends in their guest room, so we will have a fun family dinner and then early to bed for me!

45 minutes in the pool this morning.  I did 2000 yards.  That's my new longest swim ever.

I almost blew off my short bike this week, but last night at 9pm I threw my bike on the trainer and watched Monday night's 24 on hulu.  I have to keep getting those minutes!  Can't let the team down!

thought id have my run in by now - its only a measely 14 mins for garsh sakes....

had a bunch of running around to do, two drs appts, one for me and one for my kid, and then i needed to come home to do some laundry and clean my neglected bathroom.

BUT.  ALAS.

I WILL GET MY RUN IN TODAY.

heading to the Y a little later on (after DH gets home) to run w the club.

just didnt feel like heading out on my own today for some reason.  which is odd.  usually i *HEART* to run alone.

not today.

HAPPY MULTISPORTING EVERYONE.

Congrats on the OWS!!!! Its very liberating to be away from those walls and the black line. I like all the cool fish that you see

I did a 55 mile bike today. Felt good. I ate like a pig on the bike and actually felt pretty good when I was done. I'm over 1/2 on my bike goal for the month!!!!

Hey Folks,

Finished my first tri today! It was great. Not that I had my best performances, plenty of things I can improve upon! Always!! Can't wait to do another... There were 350 racers, so it was a full race and that made it even more fun, and oh yea, I got 3rd in my age group! Hardware!

Waiting for final results before I do the race report.

Have a great weekend!

You guys are really doing well. My Sunday numbers didn't make into the mix--so we're a little higher.  I did 2 hours bike, 1 hour run.  I completely blew up on the run--too fricken hot.  I got to figure the heat thingy out.

Cheers!

The heat thing is the worst. It takes me sooo long to get used to the change. I usually do specialized heat training the first few couple of weeks and this seems to helps some. But I still end up cranky and running poorly for a while. Getting the hydration thing down is the hardest.

(Of course it's it's 50* out this morning?! I certainly will take advantage of the cooler temps to do my run, but geesh, make up your mind! Next thing you know it will be 90 again!)
