I haven't swim in almost three weeks, so it wouldn't be a bad idea.

ebshot - 2009-09-30 7:10 AM Morning!  Kids arguing over cowboy boots this morning.  Ugh.  Running 3 miles today.  Yippee.    Off to pack lunches for the kidlets!
Cowboy boots!? Wow you really are in the country!

You have no idea.  Really, we live in the middle of nowhere.  Okay, not that bad but we do live in the middle of the state forest.  I found the best road today to run/ride on.  BEAUTIFUL.  Trees everywhere and only two cars and one dirt bike passed me on my run.  It was almost too quiet, bordering on the spooky side!  I can't wait to run longer on it.

What is this swim you speak of???  I haven't swam since July.  I now do not have access to a pool near by.  I'll have to drive 45 minutes.  I plan to swim once a week starting in Jan/Feb time frame.

Holy cow! Go out of town for a HIM, come back and the October challenge (which hasn't even started yet) thread is 10 freakin' pages. You people got jobs, or what?

Hem, hem <clearing throat> Hi, all! I'm Karen. And delighted to be on such a chatty team. It will give me something to do at work (until the next huge project pops up, anyway).

I'm very excited to see some old friends (hey, Jen! and Jen! and Erica!), familiar faces, and several new ones.

I've done a few challenges and they are just way fun and motivating. Took the last couple of months off, though, so will have to get back into the groove of post padding offering consistent motivation to team members.

I'm doing a marathon in January, so the miles should start racking up. I will put 80 miles down for my goal this month. If it looks like it will be more, I will adjust it. (My coach is very secretive about my schedule...I think it has something to do with paying her.)

Well, yay! I'm just glad to be here.

Erica,

The quote in your signature line ("Your life is an occasion. Rise to it." Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium) is the quote I had in my head all day at IMFL last year. I love it!

blujay65 - 2009-09-29 6:29 AM Hey Friends, Robert, Stacie, Erica, Dee and everyone else!!!

Been out of town, just getting some INTERNET time finally... I am Jen, I love challenges! Have to get better at setting goals, usually to much or not enough! I am starting my marathon training next week when I get back home, so this is a great time to do this challenge underway. I am going for 50 miles and will probably take a day or two to think about it more.

Hi, Jen!

It's so awesome they put the Mississippi girls together on a team.

Next Friday. I am headed your way. We got a race to do!

And I do believe that's my pink shoulder in your avatar pic...

I like it better as "Evil victories improve life".  It's recursive.

Wow - i feel energized. Yesterday evening, I was debating whether to just go easy on the track, or try out the hilly course and see how far I could make it. Finally, I decided on the hills and I ended up running the whole 8.25mi course AND FEELING GOOD!!! Since I took my week and a half off, seems like each run has been better and better. So, I'm primed for the challenge, as well as the Half Mary this weekend.

That's completely understandable!  How did it go?

It was a 13-minute PR due to a lightening fast swim (just look at the Augusta 70.3 race reports) and more efficient transitions. I was just disappointed that I did not improve on my bike and run times like I wanted.

But, I've decided it's unlikely I will ever be happy/satisfied.

Yeesh.

Don't worry - Dee has perfected certain "motivational" techniques...  I think she was a guest hostess at Guantanamo...

Dear Team,

Read the above. You know what to do. Tasers, Cattle Prods, you name it. Starting tomorrow, we need to keep John in line.

Run, John, Run!
