Much better, thank you! Laughing

The baby jersey is soooooo stinking cute!!!!  My toddler needs one!!!

There is nothing hotter than a man with his kid, love it!  I think the toddler jersey would be adorable.  My son has a few Tour de France shirts, but I would love to get him a jersey.

Totally agree!  I love watching my husband with the baby.

Also want a toddler jersey. My little one gets to start riding in the trailer next month.

Artemis - 2012-06-10 7:04 PM Ran 1.75 miles this morning with the little one in the jogging stroller.  Wanted to do at least 2, but it's tough with the stroller and hills!  Plus, the heat was not helping anything.  Oh well, that's better than nothing.
Yay! Baby E is going jogging!

Baby E loves jogging!  She either laughs at me or falls asleep.  Either way, she is entertained.

LOTS of people laugh at me when I jog. They're all highly entertained.....

Morning everyone - back on the commuter trail and planning another shaded trail run tonight when it cools down a tad.

Have a great day and if you are interested Tour of Switzerland is on NBC Universal this week (or whatever Versus used to be!)

Is that what they've become? I need to figure it out before the TdF starts....

mndymond - 2012-06-08 5:34 PM My inkling of a sore throat I had earlier today of def taking form of full on sore throat kids have already made me sick. I'll try to get a workout in in the am. Going to bed soon to get a jump on my immune system!

Get some sleep!  No more drawing all over Andy!

This ^^^ made me laugh.
Lol. I drew on Andy last year! Still sicky. Did a 7.5km walk instead of running and felt okay during but wasn't feeling too hot after. I'm counting it as a run though. Now I'm just resting on the couch watching a movie.
Forget the movie. Go draw on Andy!

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Am I the only one who wants to draw on Dave Zabriskie around here?!  Tongue out

Nope!!  I love Dave Z!!  I even kind of love the mustache.

I LOVE IT!  He just says the funniest things, I can't wait to hear what will come out of his mouth next!

He is pretty funny!  He can lose the 'stache, though.  (Thank goodness this is an old picture!)

Yeah, I really enjoy his comments. The 'stache, not so much though....

OK. Let's go to the TdF this year and pick up a few jerseys and shirts.

Maybe we can even get an ANDY picture to send to you-know-who. LOL

Well, the weather held, thank goodness.  Just 20km bike, but better than nothing.  First time outside after my fit last week, and everything felt great!

Ran and biked last night.  Run: I (duh!) seemed to have some trouble doing simple math while I was running and fell short of my expected/scheduled distance by .11.  Apparently my brain thought 1.75/2 = .82, not .875 (I was doing an out and back on the rail trail).  Oh well.  Biked on the trainer since it was crazy windy.

When does running get easier/likeable?  I was not liking it last night at all!  It seems to me I used to like running, years ago...it's kind of a like/hate relationship...there are some aspects I really enjoy (being outside and active) but I tend to hate the actual activity while I am doing it.

I had an AMAZING swim session this morning!  I have a race in 2 weeks, so I did race pace and was under 2 minutes for the first time!  1:57 per 100m

I was able to get that for 800 meters, then I ended up with a lane mate, bless his heart.  He was super sweet, and I didn't mind sharing a lane with him, but he was trying every stroke he could, but just looked like a fish flopping around out of water.  He also couldn't swim straight.  Sweet guy.  At least he gave me some "race conditions" to deal with! Lots of splashing, swimming around him, and waves!

I found I started liking running a whole lot more when I learned about zones/intensity.  When I first started running about 3 years ago, all my runs were (in hindsight) way too fast/intensity level.  Once I realized that I could run slow enough to have a conversation and still get benefits, I enjoyed it a whole lot more Wink.  Of course, I still have the like/hate relationship with it on some days/weeks!!

Bill, I will leave the decision to you......my back yard pool is all of 16x32.  Really can't do a meaningful workout in it.  However, it I get creative I can do some things.....do we count swimming in it or not?

Hi all. Got a swim and short run in today. Longish day because I had to go from the hospital to clinic and traffic was a nightmare...so I went from 8-530 without a break and ate in my car. Thinking about getting up early to do a longer swim tomorrow am before going to the hospital. Just getting everything packed up to go right now. Ready for bed. Zzzzzzzz. Tomorrow I get to sign up for Cali 70.3 too! Wooooooo
