Isn't there a nutrition forum for all this healthy food talk??/

I know I asked a simple question about a Garmin in here and got totally jumped on for asking a question in TAN instead of going into the right forum!

TAN has always been about food!
But some days its allowed more than others it seems.

You should maybe let that go.  No need to hang on to negatives that long.

OK Dad. Jford was the one that brought it up! He started it!!!

Jim,

There's also a slightly modified Paleo that Tony and I are doing - the Paleo Diet for Athletes that DOES allow for the ingestion of gels and/or energy drinks/salt supplements immediately before and during exercise, then depending on how long/how intense your exercise session was for the next hour or two AFTER exercise, you can have things like sweet potatoes, yams, rice, bread, etc.

Otherwise, it's a switch to try and eat nothing processed.  So far, my digestive system has been very, very happy with the switch.

Does it also include booze?

Kido - 2012-08-27 1:48 PM OK, what about canned/frozen?  Cavemen didn't have freezers, but it's easy to keep my freezer stocked with brocolli floretts, grean beans, and corn and leave the leafy greens to be fresh.

frozen are picked and flash-frozen, so essentially fresh.

canned are salty and mooshy.  (personal preference, check labels because some require preservatives, some don't (tomatoes))

Frozen is good to have as back up.  I've the broccoli in there now!

I feel like I should say BEWBS again.

Say .. not show.

Only thing is that corn isn't 'allowed' on paleo (according to both books) as it's too high on the glycemic index.

BEWBS!

BUTTS!

BAJINGOS!

Yeah, I don't do canned.  I guess I just typed it.  Canned corn is not bad, but most canned stuff is just that.  Mushy and icky.

Wine = YES!  And coffee is also allowed, but no dairy or sugar added to it.  Which is good, as I'm not about to give up either of those.

OK, TAN.  I'm smart enough to read between the lines...  It's obvious.

Yeah, I realized now that I have been cranky.  It's been hard the last couple months.  Meds too low, lots of pressure, still part time at work and could get laid off any day once the work dries up.  Wife is always gone.  Wanting do to well at IMAZ but my body is failing me trying to get through my recovery.  I never felt "old" before and now I do.

So sorry if I have been grouchy and cranky.  I'm TRYING to change, starting today.  New meds, and new attitude and diet and dedication to training.

So, I guess I deserve the passive aggressive responses to my comments about letting things go, which obviously seem hypocritical at this point coming from me...

So...  not sure what to do.  Not say anything or just go away from TAN for a while and give everyone a break and not feel icky about the responses I get - even if well deserved...

Sorry about the last months.  Take care.

So how do I achieve the optimum level of performance, comfort and economy with my tires?   Is an asymetrical pattern or directional patern better?

It's your turn.

Baby bcart #2 and baby momma got a great checkup last week. No more scheduling an early c-section. And, my plans for this year have changed a bit, so I'll have more time to spend with them. Win^2.
