Apparently he was left speechless at the degree to which the evil Romney camp will go to pull the wool over American eyes. Really, when's the last time you haven't heard "Republican" and "lies" in the same sentence? The funny thing is Romney was back to moderate Romney last night. He has picked pretty well every position now so it's all lies/truth. |

Seriously, it was hard to watch the President of the United States get his arse handed to him that badly. Hell, even the beatings that Reagan gave Carter don't compare to this smackdown. Obama looked like a spoiled little child who finally ran up against someone who told him no. The left can put any spin they want on it....who cares?

That's the important question. How many people's opinions were changed last night even given a clear winner? I bet the answer is not many. |

My wife is an Obama supporter.....she's waivering, she had to admit he looked like a unprepared buffoon. I talked toher at lunch and she said she was surprised at how many of her friends were seriously questioning whether Obama should be President for another term. While Iagree it will take more than this debate to ge it done for Romney....Obama can't afford to look as stupid as he did last night again. |

I can't remember who it was but I saw somebody on the news last night try to explain the tax cut was because taxes are cheaper overseas which results in a tax "credit". That's a stretch even for Democrats. |

When he was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review, the joke was "Barry's working from Home." This mind you is before computers and the internet. "Where's Barry" was another line they'd throw around. As a State Senator, he voted "Present" 129 times. I think we're seeing a trend here. The Empty Chair seemed like a strange monologue, but Clint was really on to something. |

If you're going to give businesses here tax credits to keep the jobs here instead of going to country X and paying a lower tax rate, that's actually not a tax credit, that's called "Lowering the Corporate Tax Rate."

Expert 1215 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Presidential Debate Regarding lowering taxes, it seems one theme is swept under the rug. Romney indicates he is going to cut taxes so that business has more money to hire workers. Workers earning a paycheck increases taxes. So isn't Romney effectively increasing tax revenue? I know as a business owner I have to pay payroll taxes regardless of my earnings.

As for Woodward's comment. I would give it until Monday. Friday news fades too fast. My favorite thing is that MSNBC is in agreement that Obama lost handily. FoxNews is happy that Romney won hands-down. Strange that CNN happens to have the only people who still argue that it was a tie or an Obama win. Since when do MSNBC and FOX agree, but CNN disagrees?

Because it would just be impossible for him to loose because he was unprepared or strategy by his handlers and thinking it was best to just run the clock out.... I don't know what's worse... all his supporters claiming nonsense...because itf the roles were reversed it would be a blood bath... or Obama talking crap the next day outside the ring. No when you get your butt handed to you in the ring, you do not get to talk smack after it ouside.... move on and keep working. |

Nancy, please go back a few pages. We went off on a good tangent talking about the use of public lands and the role of the different land-management departments in the government. You've been shown to be pretty far off on the whole "Sale of National Parks" claim. |

I have two sons, 20 and 21, neither in college this semester, and without Obamacare, they would both be uninsured. That may not be an impressive achievement to those without college age kids, but I don't know one person, even hard core right wingers, whose kid is insured who wants to see that die. Nancy And this ladies and gentlemen is why Obama will be re-elected. He has taken enough money from one group or really, I guess, has borrowed enough from China or a combination of the two to bribe and buy votes from people willing to trade liberty for free shtuff with OPM and in the process do away with the need for personal responsibility.
