Yeah, Erin's whole explanantion was kind of glossed right over, wasn't it? Do you think there is more than meets the eye here (sorry)?

I'm kind of lacking in motivation right now.  In general, I'm not really up for super regimented training.  I don't know why.  I'm hoping I gain a little more motivation going into winter.

I'm taking August off from Body Back.  Going to start up again in September.  I was considering signing up for the half marathon training team and a half marathon in November, but I'm really not feeling that right now.  I'm not really up for a half marathon right now.  Maybe in the spring?  I'm not pushing it.

I am considering doing a century this fall.  There is one in Richmond in October, but it is really expensive. There is also one in Lake Anna in September.  That one has a stop at the Lake Anna winery, and they'll transport the wine to the finish.

Jen, It is good to see you. I hope all is well, your tailbone heals up and you find your mojo.

I hope you can work through the malaise, although sometimes we are best served by taking some down time. I for one don't know how you went 150 miles on a troubled tailbone, but it sure sounds like you are enjoying the bike at the moment.  So maybe do a little work on the bike, get a fit done, research some saddles, etc., ride for fun and just enjoy the non-training time.

I'm back to work as well. The weekend was pretty much a working one, as we did stuff around the house most of the time, although we did get out with a friend and go line dancing on Sat night.

I believe Janyne came in under 6 hours, which I believe is right around where she should be with training for IMChoo. The only pics I saw had her smiling at the end, but she always does that. Her finisher pics are always great! Oh yeah, I also saw pics of chocolate treats and coffee, so I think the weekend was a success for her. I'm expecting a more descriptive RR is forthcoming...

YAY NYNY!!!

Of course she looked good in the pics, and yes, she always does that. She is hot. Her husband is also hot. I am jealous of him.

Welcome, Deanna!!  Those are true AZ dogs - they definitely know how to stay cool!

I saw your intro in the Introductions forum.  I'm a 45 y.o. first-timer.  My 1st race is in 2 weeks.  This group is a great place to ask questions, get support (and razzing!), and have some fun, as you've obviously noticed.  Yanti, creative wonder that she is, will come up with some sort of nickname for you, so brace yourself.

I'm so excited for my first race. I wish it wasn't so far out though! Of course, I'm no where near ready for my first, but I want to do it already!

I started training for my tri in March.  Between then and now, I've done three 5Ks as a way to get some race experience and gauge my progress.  You might consider doing that in the meantime.

It is, although Wondermoose sent me a purple moose ...

OK, never mind the Pop Tarts ... more about the puppies ... and you.

And for the rest of my beloved Manatee Peenut Galleree, the translation of

Manager of Marketing Indocore Indonesia and Commissioner of Bali Sport Foundation

is = Shrimp farmer. But I'm sending my brother off to go farm them shrimps this week because I'm still on Mutti-watch, although he so graciously took over for a few hours and cooked dinner! YAY!

I was wondering why I'm so beyond exhausted when I realized that all that TWO people do full-time is take care of her. That is their work. They do not additionally work, like I do, or train, or clean the house (hey, no staff this week!), etc. No wonder my face is falling in my soup.

Maybe I'll have Mutti wash the dog tomorrow. That's her punishment for feeding carrots and mangoes (TODAY) off her plate to the dog, from the table. She is just way too quick for me. Yesterday it was lasagna and last week he got omelets and pizza.

Tell ya what, post some pics in here and let us decide just how awesome they are...

BTW, welcome to BT. I hope that the site has been helpful to your triathlon growth.

Ok, but prepare yourself...this is some over the top awesome...

YOU'RE IN.

P.S. You can send the Pop Tarts to ...

Yay! Tell me where to send 'em!

Bali.  Seriously.  The postage might be a bit prohibitive....

Is that not normal dog food?  Gunnar gets that and cucumbers and spinach and pineapple and smoothies etc all the time!! Of course, he doesn't get fed from the table.  Actually, that's not true; I feed him dog biscuits from the table   So, no punishment for Mutti!!

Ok…about me…

NAME: Deanna Gaudreau

STORY: I don’t have much of a story. I turned 40 last month and have been feeling old for a while now. I have never been a fan of exercise, but then my goal was always to look better…never to feel better. My sister started to do triathlons about a year ago and has truly been my inspiration. So I woke up one day and said, “I’m going to do this!” I registered for my first sprint and here I am.

FAMILY STATUS: Married for 11 ½ years with 3 kids and 2 dogs. My oldest is 19, and our twins are 9. My dogs, Al and Lucy, are ex-racing greyhounds. Best dogs I’ve ever had!

TRAINING: I’m doing my training pretty much on my own right now. My husband is an ex-competitive swimmer (many moons ago) but he is a fantastic coach. Especially seeing as how he had to get me through putting my face in the water and not drowning. I’m a member of the Y and have been swimming and using the gym. I have yet to actually get outside and run or bike. I’m working on it…

2014 RACES: Just one. Spa Girl Sprint Triathlon, November 22

BODY COMPOSITION: 128 lbs. I don’t need to lose weight, I just need to convert my body fat to muscle mass. I’m a pretty soft 128 lbs.

So that’s pretty much me. Thanks for letting me join the group! You guys are a riot!

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
