Sorta like this?

chicken dancing

ROTFLMAO!!!!

You know..... We have not decided the losing challenge penalty for the month... So is this to be the losers avatar through February?

I like that, all losing teams must have the funky chicken!! of course, that's only if Scrambled Legs are victorious!!!!

Just to let you guys know...I hobbled out there today on my sore foot and ran 2 miles for you guys.  Don't worry...I ran slow and didn't overdo it.

This challenge thing works. I would NEVER have run today if it wasn't for my Scrambled Legs team.

great commitment, but please be careful.... the last thing anyone wants is for someone on the team to get injured.

That said, it does show the team spirit and drive this has brought to us.  Good effort indeed!!!!!!!

Aww...you guys are so protective.

I'm fine.  I really didn't overdo it at all.  If it had been painful while I was running I wouldn't have done it.  I won't hurt it worse...I promise.

Kicking butt even on the injured list! Way to go.. Run easy though, don't want that injury to be long term for you.

Yepper, that's why I like challenges.. If nothing else, you can say your run because of he guilt you will feel if you don't!!!

If anyone alters your goal please send me a PM and let me know what the original was, and what you changed to.  I want to keep track of these so we can see how much we increased at the end of the challenge.

Hello everyone. I hope you are all feeling good and running well.

As far as goals go, I'm new to challenges, so I just made a plan for a pretty good training month and used that to set my goal. I've run a little more than planned on each of my runs this week, because I thought maybe I should run a little more since Idatug and Kam are dealing with injuries. Maybe I should increase my goal a little?

Bleh! Now you have ME staring at it, too! LOL I dunno. Maybe the entire Scrambled Legs team should stare at it awhile..... If it hypnotizes them, we can give "suggestions" and make them do funky things when they wake up... You know, like "Cluck like a chicken while running tomorrow." That ought to impress their neighbors when they run down the street, flapping their arms and clucking.....

I think my neighbors are already wondering about me a little since last week I was running in the dark when it was 5 degrees and windy and I was wearing my balaclava which my son refers to as my "terrosit mask". Hmmm, maybe that's why they seem to avoid me

Anthony

Ok, 6.5 miles today.  I'm hoping to get a few in tomorrow, but if not, it'll be a short week.  I will do better next week - scout's honor!!!

I am finished for the week with a tootal of 6.94 miles this week and a total of 14.27 for the challenge, putting me at 43%.  Today I did my first full 5k distance for time and ran it in just a little under 40 minutes (39:44).  A 12:49 pace is a little higher than I wanted, but it is about 11 seconds off of the pace that I have been running consistently, so I will claim a small victory.

I am a little concerned about next week, because my plan seems to be heavily focused on swimming next week (2Hr15Min swim .vs 1Hr 10Min run) so I will do what I can to get at least almost six miles in and pick up the rest next week when I have a lot more running on the schedule.

Sounds good. I know it can soetimes be hard when ramping up with a new program and meeting Challenge goals at the same time.. Looks like you have mapped out a way to get there!

Ok, so here's a little motivation for Sunday.

We are (as of the 12th) 39% through the month.

Team Scrambled Legs is currently showing 42.02% of goal completed. So we are right on the target.

So get out there and run tomorrow, even if it is a walk run / recovery run.

Make sure you update the spreadsheet by tomorrow evening!

GO Team Scrambled Legs!

Hey all...great running guys.

Guess I'm exactly right on target because I'm at 39% as of yesterday (I'm updated on the spreadsheet for the week). The weather was so beautiful yesterday (50F when I got home) and the lake where I run/walk was packed. It was great. I had a good run with less leg pain than normal so that made me quite happy. Hope that continues since running is my painful nemesis normally. I'd love to get to a point where I kind of look forward to it. One of these days (months? years?).

Looks like we're doing really well as a team. Go Scrambled Legs!

It's the end of Challenge Week #2!

Time to update the spreadsheet with your totals!

1) Go to:

3) The ONLY column that you will need to update is "Total Completed to Date."
This is the total amount that you have completed as of the reporting date.

3) You can update the spreadsheet as often as you'd like. However....

Your cumulative amounts must be entered in this spreadsheet by Sunday evening, your time on the following days:
- Jan 6
- Jan 13
- Jan 20
- Jan 27
- Jan 31

4) If you have trouble using this spreadsheet, please let your Team Captain know. He/she will be able to help you, or will enter the data for you.
