The guy was very nice and apologetic that he couldn't help me. Almost makes up for the not so nice lady I talked to yesterday. Bottom line is we have to wait for the appeal. Boo hiss. That is what I figured but I was sort of hoping they could magically fix it today. Oh well, we've done everything we can and now it is out of my hands. Still bummed out though. I saw my audiologist this morning (last check on the hearing aid before it goes off of warrantee) and mentioned your issue. She told me that in Maryland insurers are required to cover hearing aids for children under 18 for at least $1200 per ear. I hope your appeal gets a proper consideration. That is interesting. The dude today said it'll take about 30 days. We'll see what happens. He is due for another audiogram in May. If it is worse, I wonder if that will make any difference. |

Ugh... just my yogurt and fruit for me. I got a double breakfast today and need to make up for it. Someone brought bagels to a morning meeting and I couldn't resist (after I already ate breakfast at home)! |

I think I am going to sign up for it. Hopefully I can do a better job of figuring out my goals than this month. I added my name to the list, just haven't thought much about it since! I will need the challenge to keep me motivated next month as I start to really dive into my Oly training. |

Thank you twisters. Great job!!!! Thanks! I'm sure when my glutes are no longer seized-up it will feel like a great job LOL. Ice Bath - torture but heaven after wards :) I've never...do you wear clothes? I might wear my compressions shorts for protection and a hoodie or just a ski cap for some warmth. The first minute is absolutely horrible but once you go numb it is not that bad. Bill, what is the rule of numb thumb on an ice bath as far as how long it takes to be effective? I tried to do one after my half may on Sunday, but I only lasted about 4-5 minutes (if that). Maybe my problem is I didn't wear any "protection" as you say... OUCHIE... brings to mind a certain Seinfeld episode. Trust me Bill I am not an expert - I wimped out and use our shower massager and tell me that it is just as well! I think the key is to get in and fill it as you are in already. Hot chocolate/coffee/tea and a hoodie works wonders also! I will let you know tomorrow! Yes... I can personally attest to the fact that sitting down in a tub filled with chunks of ice is not a pleasant sensation. There were cubes in places I didn't even know existed!!! That falls under the T.G.I.F. T.M.I. category!!!! Hahaha. Oh man. One of my tri club friends said that after my marathon she's gonna put me in a bathtub full of ice. Yikes, I dunno if I'm more nervous about that than the actual race itself!! Brrrrrrrrr! Too funny!!!! (Edited because the quotes were doing funny things) Edited by yogachic 2010-03-26 10:47 AM |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: bEASTies - March Winds Challenge Instead of heading to the Y for a swim, I'm heading down to the cafeteria for some food. Just can't bring myself to get in the pool three days in a row. Feeling surprisingly blah for a Friday. I'm in for the April challenge... I'll have to think about goals because my 20-week HIM training program starts toward the end of the month. I'm really looking forward to getting on a "written in concrete" plan, rather than the "what do I feel like doing today" plan. I'll report back on what delicious delectables I retrieve from the cafeteria... |

I was going to loosely follow the Olympic-to-HIM bridge just because it's 12 weeks, and there are 14 weeks between my marathon & HIM. Except that I would modify it to focus on swimming and biking since I already would have the run base. But now that I'm signed up to do my 2nd marathon 10 weeks after my HIM, I'm thinking I need to do some extra tweaking & plan combining. |

But now that I'm signed up to do my 2nd marathon 10 weeks after my HIM, I'm thinking I need to do some extra tweaking & plan combining. Yes, I do use the BT plan... I used it last year and it worked nicely. However, I do A LOT of tweaking. For example, I know that I can't do long workouts every weekend on Saturday AND Sunday, so I shuffle around the workouts during the week so that my rest day always falls on the weekend. Plus I have 3 races that fall within the 20 weeks, so I need to adjust the plan further to allow for some taper before and some recovery after each race. I then lay it out on the calendar and make even FURTHER adjustments to allow for holidays, birthdays, etc. I think what you're planning on doing with tweaking and combining plans sounds perfect. |
