He's the grounds manager for the hotel and caught me looking forlornly at the pool and asked if I was going to go swimming by myself. I said I was open to pulling someone in with me but they tend to react poorly if it's a surprise. So he said he'd open up the pool entrance at midnight and go swimming with me! I'd skinny dip, but even though the pool is heated, it is BRRRRR chilly out there. There is, however, a spa tub. Is there going to be a Race Report type of thing on this, or is this all we get? Some of us live vicariously through others, ya know Depends on how much of an endurance event it winds up being. |

BTW, how are you feeling since IM? Evidently you are doing OK, but I have been thinking about you a bit this week. I am guessing that that the 2 days after were filled with soreness and the need to sleep. |

I like the brown sugar cinnamon but it falls into the Not Worth It category for me. 210 per pop tart and there are two in a package. I'm not eating just one and for 420 I can have CAKE. |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSED amd723 - 2012-12-12 7:03 PM Ok Manatees, I prepared spaghetti squash for the first time ever this weekend and have eaten it for dinner the last 4 nights. That's the joy of living alone, leftovers go on forever. I have eaten it with veggies, a white meat turkey burger and marinara sauce. While I like this preparation, there must be other ways to prepare it. So, please give me some ways you have incorporated it into your meals. Thanks. I usually use it with marinara sauce. I like it. Kevin hates it. I only have it when he's out of town and it's in season. They used that as a "basket ingredient" in the desert round of Chopped this week. I don't think that it worked out too well for the contestants. |

BTW, how are you feeling since IM? Evidently you are doing OK, but I have been thinking about you a bit this week. I am guessing that that the 2 days after were filled with soreness and the need to sleep. This is crazy, but I'm feeling awesome. I have more pain and soreness from hauling all my gear around than the race! (Well, I'm sure it would have been easier without doing the race, snerk). I've done this recovery really by the book and it's paid off. Walking's been no problem, stairs (I'm taking the stairs up and down to my hotel room, well okay it's only on the 3rd floor, but still), even sitting still and getting up/down from bed the days after was no problem. Sitting down and getting up from the toilet the day after, and what I now call Ironbrain (you find yourself having been sitting on the toilet for half an hour and not sure if you've gone already) is a different matter! |

So I will at least get 30 minutes of running in.

But, I did walk a lot, so I probably made it 30 minutes. I'm not sure. I'll try harder today. Love, |

Well, I think being an Athena means pre-qualified since one has already met the standard for the category They're also raising the weight limit to 160lbs next year. Athenas and Clydes do have to qualify for Halfmax (what USAT calls half-iron), though. Not easy times. And I'm doing pretty well, thanks so much! Good job on getting 20min in with the cramping setting in. Not fun! And late happy happy happy birthday to E. She is so gorgeous. |

While I'd love to be below 160 by August, that's about 35 pounds from now. I'm concerned that it's a bit too ambitious. |

And totally random. Conspankulations!!! Yes, it's totally legit. And very cool. I have a feeling you could qualify for Worlds (just by continuing cross-training in S/B, B = commuting) which is worth going to depending upon which country it's being held in. And I have two runs today, 8 mile recovery and a 4 mile PM workout. |
