Our school won the HS soccer match yesterday.

Keri's U12 team scrimmaged the U14 team last night at practice. The U12 girls won 2-1. I think the U14's took it a little easy on them, but they were impressed with the speed and play of the younger girls.

Yea for winning. YIPPEE for Keri's team. I bet they won't take it easy next time!

First I am packing up my mom's cat so she can take it to the vet. After I staunch the bleeding I will work, get a bike or a run in, and then we are going to see the play CATS this evening. It should be a good production.

It was 91 here yesterday. It could be even warmer today. That is before a cold front comes through tomorrow and we drop back into the 70's, then 60's by the weekend. I so much want to be out in a kayak today instead of stuck in the office. I still have 3.5 hours to it here and wish I was someplace else. <sigh>

I can't really complain about the heat here. It is in the 90s, but that is normal for here. Tthis weekend will be fabulously in the 70s.

3.5 hours is better than the 6 hours I have left for work today.

My husband had the A/C on last night by the time that Keri and I got home. It will be on today, too, then tomorrow it will go off. That will probably be it for the year. Even if we would get a warm day the humidity would be light. 60's on Saturday, may have to light a fire in the fire pit.

Um... I have a question I'm a little embarassed to ask, but if I can't ask you all then I can't ask anyone.

After reading Kendra's post yesterday about the sugar scrub, she said you used it in the shower after washing. I have an exfoliant I use, but I have always used it before I wash. Am I doing it wrong?

Either way is okay, but if you have an oil-based one, the hydrating benefit is not as much if you use soap afterward. However, I use mine before because it is really oily and I don't want to slide around for the rest of the day

As Robin stated, it depends on the scrub.  The one I use also hydrates your skin, making it soft, so using after soap is best.  I have used others that are just for the exfoliating, and sometimes used prior to soap, sometimes after.  The one that I use on the face is before washing.

And there are no embarrassing questions.  Or stupid, dumb, etc questions.  Believe me, as a librarian we hear just about every question out there.  But I still get surprised sometimes.  Yesterday a person called on the phone, asked me to pull up their email and read one of the emails to them.  That was a first for me.

Anyway, good day Ghoulies.  I went to Emory today to try and get some of the prework tasks done.  Saw my boss and one of my staff.  They showed me my office all painted.  Looks very bare, LOL.  (so does the office I am leaving.)  took care of the HR stuff and then went to get my Emory Card.  There was a glitch somewhere and I could not get the card, so I could not take care of the parking pass, so now I will have to go back on Friday.  Aaarrrgh!  All is good still, I saw lots of smiles on peoples faces while I was down there, and it was so quiet there this morning.

Tomorrow is the goodbye party at work.  I was telling some of the staff that I am not expecting a big turn out because each branch has a person in training at HQ, and then we are all pretty short staffed as it is.  I've had quite a few people email or call me because they are not going to be able to make it.  All but two of my immediate staff will be here tomorrow, so when they aren't on the phones or desk, guess I will party with them.  Some are glad to see me go, others are crying.  I almost broke into tears at the branch managers meeting last week when I was telling them all good bye.  This is going to be hard, but I also look forward to exciting things in my future at Emory.  Woot!

Morning Ghoulies

The play last night was really fun. The seating is on three sides of the stage, so it is all up close and personal. the voices and dancing were phenomenal.
