2 goggs, it's northwest.

Ryan...WHAT?  OF COURSE THEY'RE DIFFERENT FLAVORS.  The only good ones are red and purple.

Cool. A friend of ours just bought a house by Roberts Park, near 80th and Western. Nice hood. His neighbor is the mother of the Mahoneys of 311 fame.

lvthgme - 2007-11-15 8:47 AM Here's what will hopefully soon be my kitchen.  =)  I took some other pics, but they're pretty dark or blurry.  =)  Think I can paint the kitchen walls red with that counter?

Red is cool.  Our old house had a red kitchen.  Looked mega cool.

Keep in mind too, about painting one wall one color and the other three a seperate color.  Or opposite walls one color and the other two a second color.  It's another way to bring color into the room without over doing it.  Usually it is best to do a vibrant color on one or two and then a muted one on the other walls.  Really makes a difference in a room.

That's my decorating tip for the day.

80th and Western...Near 90th and Dodge, yes?  Too close to "mid-town" for me.  =)  I'd love to be at 180th or so...=)  Some nice houses there (mid-town) but...I'm a West O girl.  =)

Ryan - no.

Funny story about that ... when we were in the market for a house in Omaha we found a new build at 180th and Harrison, wayyyy out there, and Harrison had not yet been turned into a 4-laner. So we looked, liked and decided to buy. A nice three-bed split level on a cul-de-sac with a big back yard across from a park.

The day of the closing my wife calls me crying, saying she doesn't want to live that far west. She said she didn't want to say anything before because she thought I really really wanted to live out there. I said the same thing -- that I only wanted the house because I thought SHE wanted to live out there since it's closer to her parents house.

Needless to say we backed out and thankfully got our down payment back. Now we have a happy little house in midtown. The REAL midtown, not District 66, which you call `midtown.'

And remember -- I went to Westside when it was still kind of on the west side.

Yep.  I'll be in Anfield on Sunday December 2nd soaking up the atmosphere of my own personal Mecca.

I wouldn't call myself a hooligan.  Definitely a fanatic.  Corrupted my wife into liking them too.  If I lived there, I would probably go broke trying to get tickets to every single match.

I can't wait.  Not only for the match, but the entire vacation.  28th to the 14th!  Nice LOOONG vacation.  So need it.

I haven't taken more than a single day off, here and there, in about a year and a half.  I have 240 hours of paid time off.  December is typically slow in my business that's why we are going.

All I want for Christmas is to be able to sleep at night.

I've been thinking about it, I just didn't want to have to take a drug if I didn't have to. Although, I'm trying to ween myself off of advil and tylenol pm already... so that's not much better.

Another word for you ... Captain Morgan. OK that's two, but you know what I'm sayin ...

Yeah I feel like doing a brick right now, but it's starting to get cold out and the days of riding outside are starting to get limited. Plus it gets dark so early now and it's not really safe to ride on the streets of Chicago in the dark. Time to get the bike up on the trainer!

You have plenty of time to train.  I didn't start my Ironman plan until early Feb and did an HIM the first week of May.  I felt plenty trained for it by then (less than three months).  Not that I advise that route
