I'm about 30 minutes behind.  DVRd the race. So Rosseler just started, but I just want to point out that I think the Monaco crowd is about the best behaved of all the spectators I've seen.  People are actually staying off the course.  Although I'm always amazed how close the riders get to the metal barriers.

This is how far behind I am, I finally see why the japanese rider posts were coming-on.

It's kind of cool.

Havent looked today... has be been posting since he finished the TT?

Yep... posted how he rode with Kreuziger's dad... kind of funny, he's definitely the "gramps" of this race.

That's funny stuff.  But when you consider that Lance was riding really young and some guys are breaking-in to the tour pretty young, that makes sense.

Hey Geaux, what'd Lance have to say on Twitter?

Lance on Twitter... "Kreuziger just moved into 2nd. I raced with his dad! Haha.
Overall I'm happy with my ride. Ready for 3 hard weeks!!Well here we go!! Stage 1 done (4 me). Felt pretty good. Started conservative and tried to come home strong. Sitting 3rd (for now)."

There's just a couple of his quotes post race...

He was hanging with Eddy Merckx earlier and commented on their relationship (like a father to him)
a few other random things...posted pic of today's ride yesterday.

gerald12 - 2009-07-03 9:57 PM I have to pick Cancellara for the win.  Just for the fun of it I will say 1. Cancellara 2. Contador 3. Leipheimer, with the local boy 4. Zabriskie.

Well I did not do to bad. My picks went 1, 2, 6, and 13.

He did look big.  He's usually a little thinner isn't he?

He always looks big to me  (for a cyclist).  Figured that extra bulk would help with the descents.

Anybody else wonder why Cancellara had a watter bottle in the cage? I didn't notice any other riders with one and I never saw him drink from it from what they showed. Not going to question the dude as he won but I thought that was kind of strange.

Awww. Look what I missed. The banter! I did watch it, but I had my 16 month old sleeping on my lap and she's waaaaaaaay cuter than the MacBook

Picks did well too apart from Kirchen. How did I forget about Martin? Damn.

Rocket fuel, in case he ran out ( turns out he didn't need it ).

Maybe the P4 breaks apart without some sort of faring in there...
