Cap'n PineappleArtemis - 2008-04-11 8:23 AM Just a quick reminder to update your totals in the team spreadsheet by the end of the day on Sunday. I have not had any luck getting to the spreadsheet. Does that mean my times aren't getting added? Thanks so much! I'll try to access it at work tomorrow. I did finally get back into training today! Woo hoo! Now I'm tapering for a race Sunday. Always seems weird to "taper" after a week when I've been sick and missed most of my training! No problem. I knew there would be a little effort involved when I signed on as captain. I don't mind at all. Cap'n Pineapple |

Thanks! Cap'n PineappleOne more reminder to update your spreadsheet totals by the end of the day. Just so you know, I changed your spreadsheet so that Kendra's totals will not be counted towards your team progress. Oh! And I confuse things even more cos it's Monday for me already. I logged 2 workouts today-a 600m swim and a 45 min ride. Should they be included in the totals for today? This made me dizzy last challenge ...and it's not improved. |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Team Plucky Pineapples kns57 - 2008-04-13 8:17 AM Request to drop from the challenge this month. Foot is not cooperating and I really need to listen to the dr. and let it heal properly. Thought I was going to be able to do the race. Dr. said he would let me because the damage would not be permanent but it would set me back. Considering how i am still having major pain 7 days after tennis, i think I would be STUPID to do the race next weekend and then try to do the rest of my goals too. So rather than pull the team down with me not being sure of what I will be able to accomplish, I respectfully withdraw. Sorry to see you go, Kendra. But, you'r right, healing that foot has to be your first priority. So get that foot healed up and we'll be seeing you in future challenges! |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Team Plucky Pineapples Shoeless - 2008-04-13 9:31 PM Yay, I PRd my swim time! 1000 yds in 16:55. I was shooting for 1:40:00 at this race, and my official time shows me at 1:38:50. My swim was in the top for my age group, my bike average, and my run still stunk. I'm starting to believe I do have EIA, and I should use the inhaler my doc. gave me. I have plenty to work on! I filed a race report, if anyone is interested. Cap'n Pineapple Great Job, Heidi! |

I would have thought that dropping my big fat zero off the board would have boosted you all to the top of the chart. Let's get out there and work out team!!! |

I'm doing a little extra in my swims so that I can absorb any distractions later in the month. I've done more on my bike than I thought so I should be ok there and my run goal was a bit soft (Ionly put it in as it was the bare minimum I wanted to achieve while chasing the other targets-didn't want my run to drop off completely while I increased my swim and bike). Oh, and while Iseem to be ok with letting myself down I hate letting other people down. That's why I like thesae challenges-keeps me accountable. So I'll be fine. |

I didn't realize until today that I am well behind half way. Yikes! Don't worry, team, I haven't failed at my challenge goals before, and I don't intend to now. Cap'n Pineapple |

Expert 831 Eltham North, Victoria | Subject: RE: Team Plucky Pineapples I have to go away for a couple of days. My mothers sister died suddenly(we weren't close) and I am going to the funeral to support. We have to travel interstate and my mother would be travelling alone and she is finding the ordeal(not the travel) quite confronting. I think the family will be difficult so she could do with the company. I don't know if I will get any training in cos supporting my mum is the first priority. I can certainly make up the session when I get back. This could be a welcome rest. Keep training team. I'll check up on you all when I get back. Go Pineapples. |

It will re-open on Thurs and I'll get back on track. I have not ever met a Challenge and I don't intend for this to be the first one. So I'll make it. Master 2339 somewhere over the rainbow | Subject: RE: Team Plucky Pineapples haven't been on here too much in the last two days, had an open house yesterday, and i was sort of stressing out. but i have been training, so i need to update my logs for the last two days worth. so yesterday, we are having this open house, right? the realtor said "lunch time" that was all the more specific he was, so at 945 i go out for a run, and when i come back, around 1030, my driveway is full of cars, and dh is in full blown panic mode!! (if you knew him, you'd know, it doesn't take much LOL) APPARENTLY "lunch time" means 1030. THANKFULLY all that was here at THAT point were realtors, but it was lots of fun to walk in here all sweaty, and grab my stuff to get out of the house. yeah, it sorta sucked. anyway, after that i went to my mom's and rode her stationary bike. we MAY be coming in to some unexpected money (ha ha, and i DON'T mean taxes! LOL) so maybe that new bike is closer than i thought. would be cool if i could have it for my race next month. so i'm off to log. i may be a tad behind right now, but i'm going to bust my boots this week and get caught up, next time the week results are posted, we'll be right there at the top!! |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Team Plucky Pineapples Hi everyone! I'm right on target with my swim and run (5k race this weekend for double credit), biking is a little behind, but I shouldn't have any trouble making it up, and I absolutely have to get some strength sessions in! I'll do it though no worries. Thankfully, I only signed up for 8 |

Expert 1202 Montana | Subject: RE: Team Plucky Pineapples I just put in a good, loooong bike ride (for me, that is). Gruelling (sp?) wind on the way out; a nice push from behind on the way back. That puts me in a pretty good position for meeting my bike goals. Now I have to shuffle the schdule around just a little to accomodate the rest. |
