mr2tony - 2008-05-22 12:03 PM Crowny, you lost me at `dilution factors from your bacteria class ...' Yu peepels is smort!

C'mon goggs... it's just simple math. We could be talking about shots of captain in coke... then you could relate.

Goggs drinks Captain and DIET Coke. Keep up.
I used to drink Dr. Pepper and Captain in college... It was quite tasty.

Yup, that captain tattoo stuff and dr. pepper is REALLY good... but that's a super girly drink.

I usually stick to bourbons, gin martini's or beer now... No more Cap't and DP.

Good choice. I find myself drinking more and more scotch. Normally I go with the hoppiest IPA on tap.

yummm... IPAs

Double or Single Malt??

Perfect.  And you pay for a 15 shot drink, but they give you only 7 shots and tell you "there is no difference".  Yeah.  Right.

Artemis - 2008-05-22 11:22 AM Well, I get to go to a presentation and listen to people give other presentations for the rest of the afternoon.  Not my idea of fun, but that's the joy of school.

Have fun and enjoy telling that tale to others that will get it.

Well, after 7 shots they could give me water and I probably wouldn't know.

I *heart* me a gin and diet tonic with two limes. But I've never been to a bar that carries diet tonic. They have started carrying sugar free redbull though. Baby steps!

I just realized I miss Scout's latin of the day.

In the place of that, I'm going to start the only latin/greek I know.

Microbial name of the day.

Zygosaccharomyces bailii

The yeast, Zygosaccharomyces bailii, is most commonly associated with the spoilage of food and beverage products.  The resistance of the yeast to many chemical preservatives has led to the spoilage of various canned or bottled products including tomato sauce, mayonnaise, salad dressings, soft drinks, fruit juices, wine, and fruit syrups.

Double if they have them. They're kinda rare around here though. I had a Double IPA last weekend at a beer expo. It was AWESOME. I forget which brewery it was from. Maybe Bullfrog.

Sorry, Double or Single question was about the Scotch... Should have been more clear.

ArrogantBastard IPA by Stone is really good too.

umm... yeah, but I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about if I use the word "statistical" in front... I sound much smarter.

And I am with 2goggs anyway... 7 shots, 15 shots... the only difference might be that I puke after one and not the other...

7 shots and I will be pretty much out.  15... might be dead.

do you like gladiator movies????

Actually... gladiator movies rock... and I will simply say, with a staunch record of heterosexuality, that 300 (while not a gladiator movie) was a movie full of beautifully glazed men... hoo chee wowwa!

The 'malt' shoulda thrown it off to me.  That dang reading comprehension...

I just always say "scotch" so whatever they give me...

Probably a blend... Like Dewars, Walker, Chivas... I have been trying out some of the single malts recently.... Mostly from Islay... Lagavulin and Laphroaig. Pretty good... but expensive.
