I kept getting too p1ssed off at the people who only want to A) argue and B) try to "look" cool in the threads lately, so I have quit reading them for the most part. You can discuss things w/o getting personal or rude, and you can discuss things w/o TAKING everything personally...but you'd never know it from what some people here write. I did enjoy the `What guys want' thread that got yanked. That's why I like TAN. We don't argue or get snarky here, much. |

Kinda like those freaking summer students that don't take out the RNA before they freeze the........ (ok, I don't remember anymore of the technical details) We can summarize as "summer student didn't do something he was supposed to do and lied about doing it". About the raise thing, I've always heard that was the best approach to getting a raise. Make it clear to them what value you bring to the company. |
You're right though, I think if I put together a bunch of things I've been working on and present them all at once... it'll really validate my reasoning for wanting a raise. I'm not tooting my horn, but I'm one of the few people around here that actually covers my salary each year by moving forward with things and saving us money.
