Well done on the jogo's!

I will post a full report today, once I get to work and update the spreadsheet.  I will be posting the stalker reports on Fridays.

Oh no!  :-/  Take care of yourself.

Don't put me on the DL just yet :-) We'll see how it goes tonight. I have a 5k with DS1 on Sunday!

The rule is that you can't be on the DL and on the Racers list at the same time so you'll need to pick one Cool

Speaking of DL Racers, any updates from Darren?

JOGO 9/9 All done. Swim cut short to 400m because water temp was 51.8F. Didn't feel too bad to be honest. Managed to hobble around on the run. http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp...

Good work!  I guess you don't "get to" be on the DL this week after all!  Love the new profile pic!

Scary, very scary.  Hoping all our mid-West manatees stay safe.

Where are you all? I like that it's still semi-light at 9:00 here. I can go out for a run at 8:00 without a head lamp. :-)

I'm in central Arkansas. One missed us by 4 miles and the other petered out about the same distance away. I think we are all clear for today, but will likely have the same weather pattern come through Saturday (while I'm volunteering at the Tour de Rock and then the Crohn's and Colitis walk).

We LOVE that it stays light so late. We (me or the hubbs) can get in a full day at work AND still run or ride.

Well, I was gonna class the 144 concrete blocks I carried from my front garden to the back garden today as my 10/10 JOGO, but seems I have a smack down off Chris I couldn't leave it at that. So, after getting out of the shower, seeing the post, I jumped on the turbo. Started doing Trainer Road Cyclo hit 30 hill god, but computer crashed at about 17 minutes. I then carried on doing minute hard/soft intervals up to 27 min, then strolled in to the 30 min mark to get my JOGO done.

Will update logs/garmin tomoz, gotta go for another shower, then work. Toodle-pips.

this puts a new twist on relaxation to the sound of calming water flowing.

Nice going! I'm so far behind last year's mileage. But think I have a better understanding so not as much is needed to keep improving.

I swam this morning, so I am 5/5 on JoGo.

For the year, I already surpassed last year in swimming (none in 2012) and biking.  I am about 30 miles away from passing last year's run total.  Think I can do that in June.

They are weekly. I certainly won't be doing all of them but will jump in on occasion. You know, on the days my legs don't actually feel like jello...

Don't worry about putting them in the racers list, if that is why you are asking. Just ignore them.

JOGO completed today.

Running when having a migraine is bad enough, but having the hangover scent of skunk spray in the hood almost did me in.

Oh dear God. And you get into me for training when sick!

I prayed for you and Oscar today. I kinda feel sorry for the poor fat kid. He doesn't do much, though (except run up vet and food bills) so the garage is perfectly fine for him.

I'm 4.5/5 or 5/5, depending on how you look at it ... I got 18min of reflection and meditation in on Tues or Wed I think it was before I passed out again ... fever day. Then again, my goal is taking time to Do That Which Is Not-Doing, so I figure that ain't too bad.

I was half asking about the Racing Manatees list but also wondering if this was the summer version of track workouts with your running group.

And on a random side-ish note ...

I'm definitely not doing the Bali Training Tri tomorrow. Just wasn't well enough for the hurly burly of traveling to Bali, putting my bike (the Tin Canny--Cannondale Synapse) there together etc. Also with being really sick half this week the backlog of shyte to do is staggering.

I may be doing a 10K on Sunday for a training run (would still need to add more, but it would be super fun to do the 10K bit with others). Rego closed but I put in an ahem very personal appeal to the RD so maybe maybe.

Oh. Ok, so they are full on real track meets. They even have the hammer every couple of weeks.

Legit elites come and compete and everything. But they are "all-comers" meets so it really is a full range of abilities. Mostly though, it's aspiring HS, post collegiate and elites. There is season prize money for the best OA performances of the year and everything.

They do not take the place of Wednesday (or Saturday for that matter) workouts. It's also one thing that holds me back a little from committing to doing them often because I imagine I won't get the training benefits from a hodge-podge attempt at a 1600 or a 3000 (or maybe some pole vaulting????) that I would from a series of repetitions or tempo run, geared specifically towards my V02 or LT improvement... if you know what I'm sayin'

Racing Manatees!

June 1-2
Darren - √ Bryn Bach Park Aquathon on Thursday
Janyne - Kerr Lake Olymic distance tri on Sunday
Tom -  Hawk Island Tri on Sunday
Brie - Will Run for Beer on Sunday or else Rye by the Sea Duathlon
TJ - Polly's Run 5k on Sudnay

Disabled list:
Mike - foot/heel, tendonitis in knees (the object is to try to get off the list, not lengthen the number of injuries!)
Dawn - hip
Gunnar - ACL

JoGo Challenge!
We are doing another JoGo Challenge.  Participation is optiona.  Joanne is our JoGo coordinator and she plans to post weekly updates.   Please post here or in your log when you get your "jogo" on.

JoGo description:  "the challenge is 30 days of 30+ minutes of anything that is mindfully active.  What do I mean by that?  It means that walking to the mailbox, like you do every day, does not count.  It has to be something that is off the couch (you can do something like yoga or walking even on a rest day) EVERY DAY!!!"  (This challege will be going on until roughly the end of June)

Next week Mutti and I are on our own as Kristin has been working a solid month, all day every day with no time off.

I'm getting piglet delivery for every single meal. Not kidding. Mutti won't know the difference, she'll be delighted, and I sure as hell will be delighted. According to Supersize Me it takes a month for that sort of thing to really start killing you so I figure we'll be fine for a week.

We can even get veggies and salads delivered. Yes.
