Nice ride Bill and lots of lessons learned that will help you in Iowa...then Minnesota then Alaska, right?

Why no granny gear?

Bill - You are the man!  My sister lives up that way and I wouldn't try some of those hills on a bike.  Oh yeah, I couldn't handle the pan pizza either.

Nice ride Bill.  I love how we all can learn things on every training session.

I hit Ellicottville at 1:00 or so and my plan was a lunch refueling stop because in Iowa I will be on the bike for around 28-32 hours and I am going to need real food throughout the day.  I had a personal pan pizza (good), dr. pepper (good), refilled water (good), and a chocolate milk (bad idea - glad I learned here ).  I headed back out into the ski area of western new york and the chocolate milk did not sit well with me at all!

You refueled with a personal pan pizza in Ellicottville instead of at the Ellicottville Brew Pub?  They don't serve chocolate milk there...  Wink

Seriously, what great ride!

You had quite a ride!  We ski in Ellicottville, I can attest you took on some hills.  The food at the EBP is awesome...no brews necessary.  Try it sometime!

Thanks for sharing!

Good work Bill.  Maybe when I grow up I will be able to ride the big rides and make it seem as easy as you do. My longest ride is 50 miles so I have some work to do.
