I wanted to improve on my 10:42 from last year, but it was not in the cards today. I saw Jeremy and I think Erwin on the bike. Jeremy must have dropped the hammer on run because when he left the tent I did not see him anymore. I was massacred on the swim, but it was the only thing I improved on. I can not wait to volunteer next yea, because I sure as hell will not be back!!! awesome time , congrats dude! |

Got whupped on the swim, had a good bike keeping watts really really low, but once I got to the run I stunk up the joint. In other news I successfully made it the DFW airport in Dallas and now await my 5 am flight to get back in time for my daughter's communion. I looked for BT folks but it was a frenzy of pouring, icing, stocking to keep up with the demands. So HOT out there!!!! Congratulations to all who toed the line yesterday, no matter the outcome. I hope you all are enjoying a well deserved recovery day!! |

It was a hard day for everyone - the swim was crowded, there was a fair number of wrecks and flats, and the run in the heat was tough. Socks, I'm sorry your day did not end the way you wanted it too, but I'm truly glad it wasn't with a trip to the hospital like so many others. I look forward to reading everyone's race report - you guys are truly amazing. It still isn't real for me yet - but I see you guys as really awesome. |
