Atlantia - 2010-01-28 6:19 PM Two things come to mind: 1. Frozen thin mints are worth it every time. 2. That girl is a crappy scout, she barely has any badges!

Well, maybe, *cough* her mom *cough* hasn't put them on her sash yet. Not that I'd know about that or anything.

Girl scout cookies definitely lack nutritional value but they are SO GOOD! Especially the Samoas and Thin Mints.

I agree.  I find girl scouts to be very high in calories.  It takes a lot of swimming, biking and running to burn off one of them after you've killed, cooked and eaten them.

"Are they made from real girl scouts?"

Those aren't badges, those are flair. I think she works at Chotchkie's.

I think it's a combination of things for me:

1) I used to be a GS - so I'm glad to support them
2) It's just something I do
3) I don't normally buy cookies from the store, but I guess I'm ok with buying them once a year...
4) They are yummy!!

This might be off topic...but I haven't gotten into the Nutella thing - I was at Trader Joe's the other day and looked and maybe I'm too cheap - but I was like $5 for a jar???

The sun, sand, and surf of San Diego have gone to your head, or you've never had Girl Scout cookies, or didn't grow up with them and get sucked in as a youth, or you're not human. Why do you hate America?

Don't buy any!!!  Stay away from the dark side, while it is yummy over here, it doesn't do much for the waistline....

ETA:  Crud, with all this talk of nutella, I think I am going to have to go make some Nutella on toast right now...
