Welcome to Irongirl39! Good to have you with us. I wish I could be a size8 at 162lbs. I've been an athena all my life, but unfortunately I'm vertically challenged....so I'm a short athena and that makes it hard. Oh well. I'm in a funky mood today because the scale was WAY up....even more than when I first started. I've been really trying to be consistent with the workouts, but apparently I must be eating too much or too little or something, because the weight shot up. I was 169 Saturday morning and now I'm at 173.4 today....so something is going on. I keep telling myself I should not mind the scale...just look at the workouts and keep going.

Hope everything is faring better...in mood at least!!

Down 2 pounds today. Weighed myself after my run so it might have been a little low. Happy to be back in the 180's. Still have a long road to go so everybody keep your heads up and keep working out and the weight will come off. To be healthy, it needs to be a slow consistent loss.

212 here down 1.  thought I was going to be stuck on 213 forever.  I've been spending more time in the weight room the last couple of week.  Going back to what's worked for me in the past.

Have a great week everyone

Wed. is our usual weigh in day. Sometimes I cheat and weigh in on Tue. or Thurs. since the scale I use is at work and I'm only there every third day. Good Luck.

Im at 169.4.....cant wait to get in the 50's!  I try to take it 10 pounds at a time.  It is going to get the toughest once I get to 159 to get those last 9 off.  Boy I want to experience 150!

On vacation....will catch up when we get back.

Irongirl, I was way down to 145lbs last year....well, didn't last long, but it sure felt good. I want to get back to that, but I don't know how feasible that is. It's not a weight that I can maintain without working out like a maniac.

scale stayed the same for the past couple days....decided to have a few adult beverages on Saturday nite and since I have been doing so well I also rewarded myself with wonderful onion rings and ketchup!  It was worth it though.  Then yesterday I had been craving boneless buffalo wings from Applebees.....I only ate half the order then was good for dinner so what gives here?

I leave Friday morning for NYC...I own a toy store and every feb they hold the Internation Toy Fair there.  We get to see all the new stuff for the upcoming christmas.  I know I wont get to do my normal training but will be walking the Javits Convention Center from 9am until 6pm so will have lots of walking in.  I have to be very careful with my food intake....the bread there is wonderful.  I already have plans for Rosa Mexicana on friday nite....homemade guac at the table......ahhhhhhhhhh.  Will try to eat half of that and my dinner and save the other for lunch the next day.  I just dont want the feelings of guilt!

Rumors of my demise have been only slightly exagerated. Been down with the sickness for the better part of the week. Will weigh in on Sunday since I have been out of commision for the last week or so. Keep up the good work.

Weighed in today. Terrible. Up 5.5 pounds. Not getting to workout for a full week killed me. As bad as I felt, I would never have guessed I put this much weight on. Still going to keep my head up and quit working. Found another reason to thin down, booked a trip to Jamaica for this summer, need to look good for my wife.

Hey everyone.....Im in NYC for toy fair and I am eating pizza!  I am only able to walk for exercise but I walk from 8:45 am to 6:15 pm everyday so I am getting plenty of exercise just not the cardio I am use to.  I dont want to get on the scale when I get home.......Im scared!  LOL  My 40th is just a week away also and instead of cake I want a homemade banana cream pie.  I still have this little cold and keep coughing but dont feel real bad so that is good.  I get home Weds night and get right back into teaching and training Thursday morning.  Actually was thinking of a long run and swim on Weds evening when I got back if Im not too jetlag tired.  Its only an hour and half flight.  Hope everyone is on track and has a great week!

Good luck on weigh in tomorrow everybody. Not looking for too much improvement since my last weigh in was on Sunday. But every pound off helps.

Hi gang,

I apologize for being MIA lately. Have been dealing with a lot of stressful things like a crooked landscaper and it was very emotionally draining.

I am looking to revamp my training and eating. I don't think the eating is as big of a problem as the training duration. I have to really buckle down on increasing my workout duration if I want to see the results. I hope to be able to start and stick with it very soon.

The weight has pretty much remained stuck at the 172lb range. It is obviously a weight my body likes to be at. I need to really do something to knock that down.

Thanks for sticking around gang. It does help to read about what you guys struggle with, what you are doing successfully and everything else.

Got back in town last nite and went for a swim....felt good doing something besides walking my a@@ off for 5 days.  I didnt get on the scale this morning because my son made me breakfast and I never weigh in once I eat.  I will weigh in tomorrow if we dont get this snowstorm they are calling for.  If I dont get to weigh in I will just skip this week and go for it next Weds.  I got on at the house last nite and I didnt gain or lose any but that was night time also so I may have dropped a pound?  Monday is my 40th and I am having homemade banana cream pie instead of birthday cake.  Looking forward to that!

OMG.....he did such a great job......I had two hugh pieces!  He also fixed whole chickens on the grill, diced potatos in olive oil and a wonderful salad.  He is quite the little chef!  Today this guy that has been flirting with me brought me in a mocha and a small bday cake....thought that was sweet....I just dont have that spark for him though.  I will weigh in this week.......and I am just looking at this cake.  I havent touched it yet and he was in a couple hours ago.....how good am i.  Heres a picture of how cute it is
