kimmitri408 - 2008-02-14 10:54 AM I agree with Renee....on the list of things to ride in the bedroom...the bike should NOT be #1.

Ya can lead a horse to water...

Then they wonder why they don't get laid regularly. Sheesh.

If you are the stereotype of a married couple are getting laid isn’t happening that often anyway, then keep the bike there.  If you are getting your fair share, then dude, relocate the bike and keep the bedroom for one kind of riding only.

well i have two kids ages 2 and 9 months......  the doc keeps telling us we need to get on some birth control......  control being the keyword, no stoppages......

Then relocate the bike.  Unless of course the intention is to use the bike in the bedroom as a FORM of control.

Man, rough crowd.....   I thought I could turn to my BT brethren for some reassurance I was ok on this........  I fully intended to have my wife read this thread tonight to set her mind at ease.......   Being male its hard to admit I'm wrong but I am reconsidering.......    maybe!

DUDE. I re-arranged my room JUST to be able to fit my bike in there (it's a small 10x10 room). That's when I realized the extent to which the triathlete lifestyle was influencing me.

But yea, not like it's unwarranted. My roommates have a tendency in leaving the garage door open and doors unlocked.

Just think of it as keeping your investments safe!!

EDIT: OOPS. I didn't see the picture of the wife until now. DITCH THE BIKE.

Tough love.

What good is it to shape your body with lean and strong muscles if your wife thinks you'd rather ride your bike than her? Keep it in perspective.

Uh huh. I'm sure your wife wants her competition for your attention whilst in the bedroom to be an expensive  toy that you ride. What are you trying to tell her????????

Uhh, possibly that she needs to up her game a bit?? If she's having problems drawing your attention away from a BIKE, then yes, I think there's something quite seriously lacking...

I just love the "expensive toy that you ride" part. It could easily apply to either. LOL

If I could get away with it I would have my bike set up on a trainer somewhere in my house but the wife gets angry enough with me about training so I just set it up as need since it takes less than 2 minutes.  Heck, I get grief when I set it up the night before I plan on riding it in the am.

IMO, it is not a big deal.  Alot of people if they have the room have treadmills, ellipical trainers set up in bedrooms so why not a bike but I can see where the women would thing it clashes with the decor.

BTW, nice bike, even nicer wife.  Anyone can buy a bike like that only us lucky few can get a wife that attractive (good job).

thanks ken, that is exactly how i viewed it....   if it was a treadmill it would not probably be such a big deal (maybe) but b/c its my bike (with a name) and all the bragging i do about the bike it gets a second look.....like its competition.

thanks also for the wife compliment, for the record i find my wife extremely hot (even more than my bike)  **just in case i let her read this thread**

Hey! At least he has the decency and respect NOT to ride the bike while sleeping (with the screen wide open)!

Besides, the girl could be his sister... and it doesn't look like she has a sleeping bag, so what difference does it make? And who in their right mind SLEEPS IN JEANS!!

Ok... way too much analyzing, time to go back to work.

I'm in the same boat.  Whether I'd move it if I were married?  Depends on how many rooms we have.  For example, in a Philly apartment you might not have a whole lot of choice.  I have a place downstairs to stash the bike by itself, but if I want to set it up on the trainer, the bedroom is the most logical place.

It's okay.  My trainer doesn't get that much attention anyway.

Mine lives in my room usually, only because I try to keep it out of common areas (I have roommates).

x2.
It's the only place it'll fit without being really in the way.

Depends on the house we live in. Ideally, I'd like a dedicated space like a basement or something, just because I like main rooms to be pretty and tidy. It really has nothing to do with bike attention vs. significant other attention. My SO is a triathlete though, with his own bike/trainer, so it probably wouldn't matter either way. I am not much help

I think having the bike in the bedroom is ok (yup I'm married and mine are in the basement and garage )

Just be careful not to accidently yell out the bike's name when you and the wife are having sex

good point....  in hind sight in my naming convention perhaps i should have named my bike after my wife....    might end up saving me a night on the couch or two....

The wife is hotter than the bike.

Do what you can to make her happy.

Otherwise... I have a boyfriend who doesn't live with me... and when he gave me my new roadie... I wanted it in the bedroom so I can look at it!

Oh for heaven's sake...

YES IT IS WRONG! Ok, maybe not wrong but certainly a blockheaded move. You are sending a verrrrrrrry strange signal about your bedroom priorities. I would think you would want only clear and easy to follow signals in your bedroom.

You have been warned! But no one ever listened to Cassandra, so...

while i respect all opinions, i think it is unfair to judge without seeing how HOT the ole "Red Dragon" is.......   (yes i know its a black bike)

OK. Now a picture of the wife.

fair enough.....

is it bad that subconsiously i put the bike pic in first......

Dude, normally I would say go with the bike but seeing your wife.... Dude!!
