Comments: This was a C race for me. Still, I PRd. Last year, this was my first race back to endurance sports after a 14 year layoff. My time last year was 56 min based on 10 weeks of training. My only goal for this race was to move from Time Group 1B to 1A for Peachtree. To do this, I had to finish under 50 minutes. So I'm happy I meet my goal. And I finished ahead of I CHEN WANG. I don't know who he is, but suck it I CHEN. What would you do differently?: Nothing really. PRing 10Ks is not my area of focus right now. HIM and IM training is.  Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: As a C race, I trained all week and went into this race tired. In fact, after this race, I went home and did another 4 miles. Event comments: If your going to use timing chips, include one at the start. In this race, everyone gets the same start time regardless of where you seed yourself. That kinda sucks. I was near the back at the start and I thought that the chip would start when I eventually got to the start line...not the case. Oh well, I PR'd as well, but didn't quite get enough to make it into the sub-seed for PRR. |

Woke up, drove down with neighbors. Ate waffles and coffee as pre-race breakfast.
Was going to run 1 mile as a warmup, but now I know too many people in the local tri/endurance sports seen and I got to talking with more than a few folks.
