We've got a little less than a month to go...how are all you guys feeling?!

I've yet to have an outdoor ride and I must admit...the prospect of hills are beginning to haunt me.

I could be in a bit of trouble. Very little training - 2 long (30 mi) rides so far this season, and 3 pool swims. Lets not even talk about the running. The good news is I now have a wetsuit.

Edit: And I've joined a tri club, but have yet to go to any meetings or clinics. Yikes!

I've seen the elevation chart. Obsessed over it, really.

I'm just wondering if anyone know the actual cumulative total of climbed feet (usually info from a Garmin or similar).

Visit motionbased.com and see if you can't any info on the bike course. If your nervous about the hills put a compact crank on your bike and that should make the hills a little bit easier.

57 is doable, especially with a wetsuit (luckily i have a full) maybe it will just be incentive to swim faster then right?

Eww!

Hopefully next week's rain won't force the temps back down.

Didn't they force everyone to do the du a few years ago because of water temps? Or was it because of bacteria in the water? Regardless...bring a second pair of running shoes just in case.

Thank god I have a full sleeve suit.

Went to packet pick up tonight...

It looks like they're giving participants the option of changing from the tri to the du without penalty...HOWEVER, you can't change back.

Anyone else in Wave 11 @ 9:30?

Shirts are much better this year, for what it's worth. The volunteer said they shrink fast, so order a size up. Oh...and they're long-sleeved.

I think I'm wave 6? Last wave of M30-34.

Weather.com is now saying high of 74! We'll have a 15 mile headwind on the bike....though.

You hush!!

I'm still taking applicants to pull me up the hills if anyone is looking for an additional challenge on the hill course.

Ok Runningjayhawk,You look like you are an expert at this tri stuff. I am new at this tri, actually I have only done 1 and that was the danskin in Pleasant prairie. I'm signed up for the du and I am hearing that we will be having 35mph headwind. Can you give any advice on the bike. The hills are freaking me out.
