Comments:

I was hoping to beat last years time and go under 1:50. I hit the 5k mark at about 24 minutes and felt that I could maintain that pace the rest of the way. In my mind I was running two 5 mile races and a 5k at the end. Mile 5 I was just under 40 minutes and mile 10 I was 1:19. I flirted with the idea of sub 1:40 but that wasn't happening.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, I knocked 10 minutes off my time from last year.
Post race
Warm down:

Got a massage, some Gatorade 2(which is nasty) and a bagel and walked the 1/2 mile back to my car.

Event comments:

Once again a good race, I will be back next year.

Nice job on the PR!!  The race director was indeed right: no sun, very little wind - it was a good day for a Personal Best.

It would have been nice to have some sun, as more spectators would've come out then, but all in all the event was run very well, it's always kinda cool running on the Wantagh.

Great Job!
