Hi, everyone. I figured several other people decided to quit lurking and introduce themselves, so I should too!

I hope that it will eventually warm up here, because I can't stand riding the trainer and running on the treadmill. Especially with no hockey on TV!

What a great site. Lots of good, useful information and opinions here.

Hi Brian, and welcome to the site. Where in MN are you? I live in Hastings and work in St. Paul. I'm with you on the dreaded treadmill and trainer--can't stand them! I can't wait for it to be warm enough to go outside again... Good luck with your training!

Kelly -

I live in Oakdale and work in Shoreview. I spend most of my lunch hours (hour and a half's?) at the Y in Shoreview.

I am looking forward to many of the races in the area once the snow, cold, and salt go away!

Hi Brian. Being from southern MN I can't quite figure out how you people near the Twin Cities cope with the cold :p Don't worry too much about winter, the tough stuff will be over in a matter or 8-10 weeks. Then we'll all be out on the roads with no excuse for not getting long rides in

Hi Brian and welcome!

Move to Texas! I lived in St. Loius Park, MN for 2003 and loved it...but I gotta say, it's nice going backpacking in January...and "braving" the 40 degree cold to do a bike ride.

Any, enjoy and good luck. I miss MN!

Welcome to the site!  We'll keep you warm via internet until you can go outside.  Can you hook your computer up to the trainer and browse the site while you bike?!?<img align='middle' src='https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/images/emoticons/smile.gif'>

I'd consider it, but I don't think that the sweat would be a good mix with the keyboard. ;-)
