Subject: RE: Louis Garneau Carbon Air Tri Cycling Shoe I picked up a pair at an online tri store's after Christmas sale for around $125, and have been impressed with them. I thought I'd keep my old pair of Sidis around and save some wear and tear on the LG's but I'm not even sure were I last placed the Sidis. You can save some money with the BT discount (10% for free member or %15 and free shipping for Bronze and above level ) at Trisports.com, cutting the $199 price tag down at least a little.
I never thought I had a foot that was on the wide side and wear standard D running shoes, but I have no foot pain in the LG's like I had on the former Sidis. I do wear a double E in my Easton ice hockey skates, E's in Warrington fire and USAR rescue boots, but D's in Danner boots. So I do have some width confusion going on.
As mentioned they're vented real well and I haven't had any issues with hot spots etc while wearing them. Rode in some heavy rain this past Saturday and they drained real well too, socks were soaked but no pools of water held up in the shoe. They have two foot pads that come with it and the other one isn't vented and makes riding in cooler weather better then the fully vented foot beds.
