Subject: Oakley vs. Nike Sunglasses?

My Saturday long runs are reminding me I need sunglasses.  What type of sunglasses do you wear?  Recommendations please!

Thanks!

I looked at all of them and ended up buying a pair of Natives. I am very happy with them.

Rudy Project Rydon II.  Best pair of biking/running sunglasses I've used.

I carry the Nike brand in my office and I use them for all my races. If you get polarized lenses, make sure you can see your watch display with them on.

I have had a lot of success with Tifosi. Great brand, solid product, and great service. JM2C.

I wear prescriptions, so my vote is 100% Oakley.

Rudy project ekynox sx. Prescription, polarized.

LOVE THEM. I see better with those things than with my regular glasses.

Oakley M frames.  I also have Nikes, but much prefer the Oakleys for riding and running.

My Rudy Project glasses are the best sunglasses I've ever owned. I especially love the adjustable nose piece and frame. They are a little pricey, though. If I were looking for a pair of glasses under $100, I'd look at Tifosi glasses, since they have similarly adjustable nosepieces/frames on many models.

Oakley Flak Jackets, polarized with HDO (watershedding coating) lenses.

Of note, I am a diehard Oakley fan, have been since the "M" frames were pronounced safe to use on the gun range. I am a small arms instructor and the only other non-Oakley glasses I have are Wiley X's which were issued to me for our Non-Compliant Boarding school. Thay are nice because the lenses switch out also. Don't like them because of there weight though and are bulky for under a helmet.

Don't like the way Native's fit my face.

I bought a pair of Oakleys Half Jackets with the Transitions lenses this year. Absolutely love them. They work very well at controlling the light. I used to hate wearing dark lenses and then you go into a shady portion of a ride or run and can't see a damn thing!! Definitely a cool feature for me.

I ended up buying a pair of Native Hardtop Sunglasses.  They were the most comfortable out of Nike & Oakley.  I have not worn them yet.

They are polarized and come with light colored replacement lenses but at $135 it seems kind of pricey for a smaller brand.  Anyone else have experience with Natives?

Thanks

I had two pair of Nikes a couple of years ago, that someone obviously needed more than I did. I loved them, but decided to try something different. I then went to the Rudy Project Ekynox. I ended up liking them even more. I had a silver / orange pair and the camo ones. Things were great until it got hotter around here. Even though they have small "slits" or "vents" on the edge of the lenses, they always fogged up and bugged the crap out of me.

Sooooo.. A month or two ago, I bought a pair of the Oakley Radars...They blow away all the others I have had, hands down. I love them... I use them on the bike and run. I still wear my Rudy's out and around... I just don't workout in them.

Ive got $10 suglasses from walmart. They keep the UV/bugs out of my eyes so I thought they were fine, but you guys suddenly made me feel inadequte. I guess that gives me an excuse to spend more money on my tri gear. Thanks!

Tifosi Slip with the foto lens' that change with the light.

Great for running and biking. No fogging issues. Way less money than anything I have tried that performed as well (Oakley and Rudy Projects).

I have a pair of Native Hardtop's and I like them. I have a narrow face and Oakly's, Nike's, Rudy Project's, and others just don't fit well. When I compared the Natives to these, I swear that I saw more clearly out of the Natives and they stay on my face even with sweat streaming down.

I think they are worth the investment.
