Subject: RE: Richmond Area Pools, Trails and Riding RoutesHi! I like to ride in Peters burg Battlefield from time to time. It's a small loop (4 miles each way ) but challenges the bike handling skills with the hills and strange turns. Until recently I kept a small loop that I worked with, have recently ventured out on some other rides that are moderately hilly in Chester/Matoaca. You can check out my logs and look for 25 miles of hills and the one I called to Matoaca (the second one is acually hillier than the first one but I was looking for a new way to label the routes ). Most of my running is from my house but Pocahontas State Park has some great trails. It may also be a good place to ride but I haven't ridden there yet. Don't know about day rate pools, best bet is to call a bunch of fitness centers, I swim at American Family in Colonial Heights. We have a class set up similar to a Master's swim program, the coach is a certified VACS coach, he takes summers off from the gym since the kids program is full time then. He'll be back early September but there are several of us meeting every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:45 AM to swim. |
