im' pretty good actually.. I am certain I will start getting nervous mid next week most likely.. i tend to push things out of mind until the last moment..  keeping all the angst as much out of the neo cortex.  im certain the limbic brain will take over.. as the tic toc gets closer to the 'hour'..  sleep is good.. prolly wont get any the night before..so I will try to be extra slept the nights before..   I close on a new house on the 3rd of sept as well.. so things are a bit chaotic.. work is starting to call me as well with issues.. (ive been off for 10 weeks).. so I AM READY to get this race done.. very excited and very nervous... i've been dreaming about this day for a long time..  cant wait...

You may not be nervous, but you're speaking Klingon.

Well, I could just about kick my own . Wifey and I bought the baby a "My Little Lamb" swing/rocker/mobile/music/soothie-noise thingy to see if it would help with the fussy behavior he's had for the last three weeks.

So, the little guy starts turning into "tomato head" (my nickname for him, as he can go from peaceful and cute to beet red in about .092 seconds flat) and I snuggle him into the swing-thingie and he freaking loves it. He's all cooing, smiling, playing kung-fu grip with my fingers.

Anyhow, I could have bought this damn thing a month ago when I was trying to actually train instead of getting it during my taper!!!!!!!!!!!

So, when is everyone hitting Madison? I am going to be out there Thursday afternoon, and will be alone until Saturday, when a friend of mine is coming out.

Maybe we should exchange cell #'s so we can actually meet up for lunch, dinner, a little run, swim, or even at the expo.

Oh, and I will be bringing tools, a bike repair stand, and about a zillion surgical towels that anyone can use to clean up their bikes with.

THE WAITING IS TORTURE!!!!!!!

I'm planning on getting in as early Friday as I can.  I'll try to be at registration right away Friday so hopefully I don't have to waste too much time standing in lines.  Would like to meet up with as many people as I can.  Will probably do the gatorade swim Sat. morning.

I will be driving into Madison on Thursday, will likely do the gatorade swim on Friday and register.  Thinking about the dinner deal too. .is that worth it?  Figured it will be packed everywhere else..  and I have my family and friends so it might be a easier process with no wait...  I think the mandatory athletic meeting immediate follows as well..     I am staying at the BW right off capital square...

Roger the welcome banquet is definitely worth it...especially for first-timers.  Its included with your registration so you'll have to pay for family members to attend. And the athlete meeting is right after it so you might as well go.

x2 on the welcome dinner. Hit the pasta feed and hang with some Iron dogs. The mandatory meeting is pretty entertaining as well. Fun stuff all around.

Are MNDiver and I the only two who look at their watch and say "At this time ** days from now will be at such and such a point in the race"? Crazy.

At this point in 5 days, I'll be out of the water!

Um, yeah. Every day for the last 4 weeks or so. I think my wife is getting tired of it...

I must have done it 20 times today.  I actually gave a little fist pump a little after 3:00 figuring (hoping) I would be getting close to Camp Randall at that time.

Awesome job yesterday, Minnesota folks!  Goalie - I saw your note in the IM watching thread about your spill.  That's a bummer, but good job getting back up and finishing strong.
