I just assumed it would be a top notch event with the "Ironman" name behind it. With that said, somebody, anybody please tell me there are going to be changes made this year and I shouldn't let all the neg. reports bring me down. This is a pretty big bummer. Y ou didn't waste your money. There is no perfect race...you can find positives and negatives in all races. The more you race, you will find that swims getting canceled are part of the sport. Everyone gets bummed when the swim is canceled but there is nothing you can do. Train hard and go to Steelhead with the mind set you are going to have fun and you will enjoy yourself. He's right. I was just really really really bummed about the swim. They took the thing I'm best at, and eliminated it from the race entirely. Then they took the thing I'm worst at, and made me do it twice. It was enough to make a girl cry. But... apparently the riptides were bad. So at least we're all still here to complain about it. I didn't notice anything regarding the pavement. Seemed OK to me. Although I was pretty busy with my own issues on the bike...
Heh. See? Who has time to worry about the pavement? Whizzzzz - you are so dang funny! I agree that the beach house was awesome not only financially, but primarily because the people that stayed there, and those that visited, were fantastic. |
