Member  69  Not where I want to be... |  Subject: Ironman 70.3 New OrleansAnyone here doing the Ironman New Orleans? I am registered and excited as all get out!!! My tri history is limited with only the Oldem County tri under my belt; my moto go big or don't go at all. I am originally from New Orleans and have riden that course many times. Flat with 4 climbs 2 out and 2 back, both are bridges. I am excited to do my first Ironman distance in my home town. So anyway shout it your going...

| Master 2381 Frisco, Texas | Subject: RE: Ironman 70.3 New Orleans All, Keep in mind that the expo and host hotel are not that close to the finish line. It's a 1 mile walk to Jackson Square and the finish line. The start is at UNO, that's 7 miles from the expo and host hotel. |

No. The water is fine. And has been for many years. In fact, before Katrina, the manatees had returned to the lake. You can go to this website to check the water quality http://www.saveourlake.org/water_quality.asp
