Expert  1170    Southern Pines, NC |  Subject: Decked out race rig... p0rn-tastic.So I finally got a chance to ride the P2C in full race gear, and it is SMOKIN'. I also got a chance to take a couple pics post-ride... Light conditions were quite nice here today. So while my previous thread was more grainy 70's porn, this should be a little higher quality.

I'm not sure where you need to look on Cervelos just yet. As for the ride, it's AMAZING. I feel like I'm still getting used to the position a little after years of being a roadie, but now that things are dialed in it's feeling great. When I'm doing my part she just flies. My biggest surprise was with the Blackwells in the wind--they're much better-behaved in the crosswinds than I thought they'd be. My ride today was short but at a good tempo pace on a course with a couple short hills, and I averaged 21.7mph. I kinda treated this like a dress rehearsal gear-wise, so I was in the trisuit, aero helmet, race wheels, etc. It was fun. The only aesthetic thing I think I'll change over the winter is the base bar. The Ovals are great as an initial bar for deciding what's comfortable, but I find myself wishing for a bit more drop on the horns when I'm climbing/cornering. But that's a minor thing. Nice attention to detail. John. Yeah, it is. I bought the bike from Competitive Cyclist, who did the build. Not only was it a meticulous build, but their packing and shipping were just incredible. I switched out the extensions and had to replace the shifter cables, but I just kept the same routing. I just can't say enough good things about CC... And if you look at their inventory, the P2C is on the low end of what they carry. |
