I just found out they're adding a date in Miami next year.  I'd love to hear from anyone with experience at one of the other races.

I did it here in Charlotte this year.  It was my firt tri.  It is women only and it is really great!!  The organization is awesome.  Afterwards, they ahd so much food for the athletes.  I didn't feel like eating but it looked really good.  At the finish they gave bracelets to all the finishers.  It is  great race!!!  I highly recommend it!!

My wife did 2 of them this year, Tempe and Philadelphia. Both were great races, very well run and organized.

I did the Danskin in MA as my first tri a few years ago and I really enjoyed it, so the all female thing is fine with me.

Oh, and thanks for the RR - now if only I oculd be as fast as you this would be the best tri ever!

I'm a little scared because the map makes it look like there are two bridges - we'll have to get confirmation from someone in Miami that it's not as bad as it looks.   Oh, and I'm scared of the sharks, but I'm always scared of the sharks!

To answer your question about the bridge- It is a paved causeway (Rickenbacker Causeway) and the same one the "Miami International Triathlon" uses. If you got to this link http://www.mitriathlon.com/video_gallery.html you can take a look at a video of the causeway.
