He is taking time away from the campaign to deal with a family emergency we should all take time to pray for the Obama family in this time of need and stress.

Been doing it since I heard about it two nights ago.  My heart goes out to him and his family.

Oh, that is such a terrible shame!  It's never easy to deal with this kind of thing, and with all the insane media attention he's getting right now and tomorrow, you know this is going to get dragged all over.  I really hope that everyone keeps this on the professional level.

I'm sure he's glad that he was able to go spend some time with her.  I regret that I wasn't able to make it to visit either of my grandmothers before they went.

I will not be voting for Obama, but on a personal level, it is sad that - should he become elected tomorrow - she won't be alive to see him win.

Yup - very sad that she won't be around to see what happens next. I'm sure she's watching, though.

I am sure she will be and is proud of him win or not.  He has my prayers if not my vote.

Losing a family member puts things in perspective, even compared to running for President.  The Obama family is in our prayers.

Not to change the subject or sound disrespectful, but I don't get it. You are praying for someone you don't know whose grandmother passed away. Do you pray for the families of everyone that dies each day? I consider myself religious, but I have enough people that I know that need my daily prayers.
