My garmin had the bike for the sprint @ 12.66 miles. So I guess I had the course a little long also.

Great job everyone and a big congrats to all the first timers. Lora Thank you for helping out also.

I finished 2 behind Kris overall @ 116 with a 1:27:09. This is an improvement of 10:52 from 2 years ago when it was my first race. I was pleased w/ my improvement.

David good to meet you on that Sat. Hope to see all of you again at the races.

HFP did get me into the results last night.  Wanted to point it out since I pointed out I was missing.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello to my family at the "Athletes for a Cure" tent while I was working on my "easy" pace race.   All the hellos helped make their day while waiting for me!  And, my two daughters and son-in-law are thinking of doing a tri -- Yahoo!!!!!

I'd heard that the women, not sure if it was the oly or sprint group, cut the first buoy, too.  What the crap?

Yup it was the women sprint group.  I was so mad when I saw what was going on.  There is no excuse for cheating.  Ever.  I'm not sure why no one made them go around. :/  I guess it's kinda hard when there are no numbers on caps and you can't tell body marking.

But it was an awesome day, a great race over all and I finished under 2 hours- which was the goal.  I swam twice the distance and ran up that crazy hill and was only 30 seconds off my first tri.  Very pleased.

On my warm-up swim that morning I did the same thing, swam to the second turn bouy and skipped the first. It was very hard to see in the morning sun. When I realized my mistake I swam to the first bouy and picked out a tree line to sight on the swim. I'm going to think that people didn't cheat, they just missed the first bouy in the glare of the sun. But HFP sould have had someone there to direct them back to the first bouy.

A ha.

Hey, a guy can be an optimist and want to think the best about his fellow competetors, can't he?

Everyone might want to recheck your standings on this race. I just looked at them again. I moved up 2 spots in my AG and overall. I'm now 9/25 AG and 73/213 overall.

I wonder where they keep finding changes (or in my events case competitors).  When I was left off their were 69 total, after I was added there were 72, now after your note I check to see their are 75.  Of course, you moved up, not down.  Maybe that is where their coming from - the triathlon listings??  I don't know.

Well in my division they took a guy who finsihed in front of me and wiped out his run time and dropped him to the back of the pack. They are probably trying to move me up to my official faux third.

They did have a link to race pictures on the front home page but when I click it I get a javascript message. It might be cause of my computer here at work but has anyone else tried to look at the race photos?
