Subject: Bucket List

I watched the movie a couple months ago, but recently (no reason, I'm healthy, just putting on weight) and I started to think about bucket list things for me....

1. Ride up Alp d Huez  (for fun)

2. drink or taste what a $100+ bottle of wine tastes like..

3.  Ride/drive a NASCAR type car for a couple laps at 150 + or do the quarter mile in a Funny Car type...

Feel free to add on other nifty things to do...

I'm a dummy, my list keeps changing every year as stuff gets crossed off ... I guess that's the point ... I've done most of the crazy wild rush type things already, but here's the current list:

1. Improve the quality of life for a significant group of people in my home country (Indonesia)

2. Publish a book

3. Teach again in a classroom setting (preferably university)

4. IM (hopefully it's gonna be IMKY this year!)

5. Go big-wave surfing (like tow-in surfing)

6. Clear my debt with the California DMV and drive again (not sure if this is such a good idea)

7. Travel in South America

8. Live and tri long enough that I get a shot at Kona (like, in my mid-80s?)

9. Lose enough weight to be slender

10. Coach a sport again

Someday before I die, with practice, determination and a lot of luck, I hope to hit a green in regulation.

Kidding, I have done it, although those words were spoken by me on a particularly bad day. Surprisingly, I have also done something on many of the lists above in that I have driven a race car around the Chicago Speedway at 140 mph. It's not that hard if you really want to do it. http://www.1800bepetty.com/home.aspx
