Subject: RE: Siberian Express Trail RunToo funny! This was also my first trail race. I was shocked at how long it took me. I'm a slow runner anyway, normally about an 11 minute mile, but good grief, I averaged over 13mm! A couple of people had warned me to expect much slower times, so I was just out there to have fun. But there was a lot of walking both up and down the hills. I am not sure about passing etiquette, when I felt like someone was right on my heels I would try to move slightly to the right and let them pass, but the people in front of me seemed oblivious to this. That said, I really did have a lot of fun. We had a group of 7 from our running club drive up from Springfield, so it was a fun day. I have not done a formal race report, am kind of waiting for some pics. I carried a disposable camera and snapped a couple of shots of the ravines, but don't have the pics back yet.

Sat in van with heater running until 10 minutes before start,
