No way! I don't know why anyone would watch it on tv either.  I have never watched and probably never will.  Just like going to bed way before the election is over.

If I could be dropped in, yes.

Regardless of your politics, it's pretty cool to watch all the former Presidents come out, and the peaceful transfer of power.  It's hard not to be moved just a little bit, watching how excited the millions on the Mall today are.

I concur on all counts.

If we still lived in Philly, I would have gone. I got to know how to get in and out of DC pretty easily while my sister was going to school there.

While watching it today I remembered that I faked being sick so I could stay home and watch Clinton get sworn in the first time.

i went and i'm really glad i did.  it was awesome to be out there and i'd do it again.  of course being from here, i took advantage of transpo tricks, and i was home an hour after the ceremony was over, lol.  but it was worth it.

Zilla - 2009-01-20 10:40 AM Yes.

Yes, but only because she said yes.

No - except if Zilla is going to be wearing what she is in her avatar, and then yes.

Really, I would rather skip it unless I am in a private skybox or some such.  It's not the cold, but the crowd that I have had enough of in my days.  I doubt I would get close enough to see anything unique anyway.  I might as well stand in my front yard and listen to it on the radio.

I was at President Bush #1's, but I was on duty and had to stand still for 45 minutes or so.  It was not as much fun as you might imagine.

I was there yesterday. I chaperoned a trip of fifty 16 and 17 year olds from the school I teach American History at. There were fifty kids and 5 chaperones. We sat on a bus for five hours. Got to DC at 6am, walked a mile (while keeping fifty kids together in a huge crowd) to the National Mall. Set up "camp" 3/4 mile from the Capitol, waited 5 hours... and watched the Inauguration in 20 degree weather.

If given the opportunity, I would do this again in a heartbeat.

I can easily say that yesterday was one of the most amazing experiences of my life

I went, but I can say that if I didn't live a 10 minute walk from the Capitol, I prob wouldn't have.

Amazing to see that many people out and about. Really an amazing sight to behold. I'm glad I went, but I was also very glad to go back home and get warm

Having watch the ceremony, the parade and ball(s) on tee vee all night last night, I felt like I just came back from a really long and elaborate wedding.

I was, in fact, given the chance to be dropped in the middle of it.

My sweetheart had tickets because he was campaign staff. He lives in DC, within a 13 block walk from the mall.  Although I volunteered for the Obama campaign, I hadn't originally planned on going but events occurred in such a way that it made it exceedingly easy for me to say yes to his invitation.

It was a fantastic 5 days. I'm so glad I went. So much American idealism and love of country and fellow humans on display.

Oh, and I got to have dinner with Chippy and Stake while there!!!
