Anyways if I could brag for a second, I won the 100 free at our intermural swim meet yesterday with a 50.6

Who are you, again?
I'm awesome, like always.

Going to the Georgetown game tomorrow (we got tickets to the corporate suite at the Verizon Center).

Tri Club banquet tomorrow night.

On Sunday, I'm going to try running for the first time since I messed up my knee.

I was going to go to Chicago, but I'm really not feeling like it now.  Maybe in a few weeks.  Instead I will stay here, get some decent workouts in, maybe go out Saturday night...who knows.

My lips ar chapped and I have no Carmex here.

On a happier note, it's supposed to be 51 Saturday and 54 Tuesday, with a couple of 30 and 40 days in there. Sure beats the 0s and teens. I'll take it!!!

ugh I hate making money decisions...

There's a conference in Philly that I should really, REALLY go to. Not only because it is the biggest conference for my industry in this country, but because it will have a job bank, networking, and resume activities that might actually get me hired. The problem? Because I am jobless, I cannot afford to go. I only found out about it the other day, and I've now missed the deadline for all the fellowships that could pay for me to go. It's $450 for the whole thing, plus travel and hotel and food. I freakin' hate this. I need the job development, but I can't develop because I don't have a job and nothing in the pipeline (just been turned down by IKEA...twice.)

Plus side...weather is great here today. Sunny and "Warm" meaning above 0. woohoo!

Unfortunately no, because I've graduated. They're short on cash as it is (part of the reason my PhD didn't get picked up), so alumni are low on the list. Had I been still living in Scotland, I could have gotten the whole thing paid for by the organization b/c they're trying to recruit foreign scholars....but now I'm just another unemployed shmuck.
