Pre-race routine:

Ate pb on a bagel. coffee. Hit the road.
Event warmup:

Swam about 220 yards.
Swim
  • 08m 54s
  • 440 yards
  • 02m 01s / 100 yards
Comments:

The swim was the only portion of the race that I wanted to really push today and I ended up doing not so well in it. I swallowed a lot of water, too.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure. The swim wasn't what I expected but it was very nice.
Transition 1
  • 02m 27s
Comments:

Nothing different here. I'm average in T1
What would you do differently?:

Perhaps learn some tricks to speed this process up a bit. I don't dilly dally or waste any time.
Bike
  • 36m 38s
  • 12 miles
  • 19.65 mile/hr
Comments:

I wasn't really pushing the bike. I felt very comfortable on the bike today. I road the new bike. It was a nice 12 mile ride.
What would you do differently?:

Perhaps push. I have a big training weekend coming tomorrow and Monday and I didn't want to really push on the bike. I was just trying to get more experience with the tri bike.
Transition 2
  • 01m 42s
Comments:

Again...same as t1 - it is what it is. I should learn some tricks of the trade to make a quicker transition. At least this time I didn't run by my bike two times. It's funny, though. When I did that my transition was quicker than this one ;-)
Run
  • 23m 57s
  • 3 miles
  • 07m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

I was trying to stay nice and easy here. I ran faster than I thought. I wasn't keeping track of time. I had a small cramp for a little bit but then I saw a girl with a '30' on the back of her leg and all of that didn't matter. I HAD to run by her.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. This was what I wanted. I'm happy with it for now.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing was bothering me today. I'm glad about that.

Event comments:

Good race. I'm not sure that all of the distances were accurate, though.

Not wearing a watch really helps to relax and not get into race mode :-)  I swim, bike, and run and have absolutely no idea how I'm doing as far as time.  It's pretty refreshing
